Getting an injury didn't really seem rare for Corvis at this point. The scar he sustained as a child, his run-ins with Magma and Aqua so hospital visits was already common for him, and so were remoing bandages.
"D-Dammit," Corvis gritted his teeth as the doctor slowly removed the bandages on his back. It wasn't painful or anything. But the feeling on his back after the scratch he got from Blaze's Houndoom served as a reminder of the pain he had dealt.
"Alright there we go," the doctor said as he removed the last part of the bandages. Sara and the others watching while holding their breaths. Sara's eyes widened as she saw three large scars on his back.
"How does it look?" Corvis asked. Ethan didn't say anything as he took a picture with a smartphone before showing it to Corvis. Corvis gulped as he saw his new scars that were permanently living on his backside.
"Well my mom's gonna give me an earful for this," he said as he dreaded the idea of telling his mom about his new scars.
"Well it does seem you're recovered. You may survived but it doesn't mean you're immortal or something, remember to take it easy and stay away from any dangerous pokemon," the doctor advised. After thanking him, the doctor stood up and left the room. Corvis went behind the curtains to change out of the hospital gown.
"So where to next?" Ethan asked, knowing full well their next destination. Corvis threw away the hospital gown as he opened the curtains. He had just put on his usual yellow jacket and adjusted it.
"Lavaridge Gym, my next gym badge," Corvis smiled full with determination
The Lavaridge Gym Building was a large red building that pratically stood out in a roar of buildings. The gym symbol that hung on the roof shined brightly thanks to the reflection of the sun rays. Corvis pushed the doors and walked in with a confident stride, and slightly regretted it. The heat had hit all of them like a train. He immedietly wanted to take a swig of water from all the heat.
"Well, this is a fire gym," Ethan stated. They walked into the building and was immedeitly gretted by the sight of the battle arena. A large rocky field surrounded by water. But what caught their attention, was that the water was boiling with bubbles popping every now and then. Steam was being emanated from the water. Corvis gulped at the thought of anyone or any pokemon accidentally taking a fall into the boiling hot water.
"Doesn't that water seems a tad bit too hot to be placed in a gym?"
"Heh, The Cinnabar gym in Kanto doesn't even cut it, the nutjob there has his gym in a friggin volcano with lava in it,"
"This seriously feel likes a sauna," Sara said as she wiped her sweat off. Corvis had taken off his jacket as they all walked down the field. His undershirt was already stained with his own sweat, hugging his figure tightly. Sara noticed and came to a realisation.
"I never thought how toned his shoulders are..." Sara thought but the realised what she was thinking about. Her face was already flustered and turning red from embrassment. "Wait what the hell am I thinking"
"Sara you sure you wanna stay here? You're face is all red from the heat," Chloe said as she noticed Sara's now red face.
"Huh? No! I'm fine there's no need to worry!" Sara exclaimed when they all heard something. A door at the other end of the field opened and to their suprised, a teenage boy came out. He had striking red hair then covered his right eye and had a pair of headphones around his neck. The boy seemed to be around their age. He saw Corvis and the others and went up to them.
