Battle Scar 「POKEMON」

06 | FALLING ROCKS

The stars were shining brightly upon Rustboro as Corvis was standing outside the pokemon centre by the battlefield. He stood outside the line, watching Leon and Kein clashing with each other. Gale was on the roof watching the battle. Both pokemon on both sides were tired and panting.

"Kein use Rock Tomb! Leon Quick attack to dodge it!" Corvis shouted as both pokemon gave it their all. Rocks materialised as they were send flying towards the Kein. Leon started moving at fast speed to dodge each rock. He sucessfully dodged a few but one of the rocks got too near and striked him in the side.

"Dont give up! Bite and Metal Claw!" Leon's fangs glowed just as Kein's front legs glowed in a silver light ans they each ran at each other. Kein went for the first strike but Leon caugh t his leg with his mouth and threw him aside before dashing at him and chomped down on it.

"Aron!" Kein said as he beared the pain and striked Leon with his other paw. Kein stared at Leon with determined eyes before finally falling to the ground, at the same time when Leon fell to the ground. Both smiling and tired as Corvis watched his pokemon.

"Sorry Gale but you wont be battling tomorrow, but I promise you will have a chance at Dewford," Corvis said when Gale landed on his shoulder. AGale gave a disappointed look before nodding it's head.

"Alright you two, rest up, you'll need it for tomorrow," Corvis said as he returned them both to their pokeball. He went inside and gave their pokeballs to Nurse Joy before walking to the elevator. As he did, he saw a large monitor. He gave it a thought for awhile before walking towards and and dialed a number. The screen showed a woman wearing a pink robe with her hair down past her shoulders. The woman's eyes widened when she saw Corvis.

"Corvis! I was wondering when you called me! How are you? How's your jurney? Did any pokemon attack? I hope they didnt, I heard most wild pokemon in Hoenn is dangerous! Did anything happen to you!? I hope your pokemon can behave we-"

"Mom!" Corvis said, loudly, interrupting her mother. "Mom Im fine, I dont even have single scratch on me.," Corvis said as his mother's eyes widened in horror

"Then explain to me that," she said, pointing to his left, bandaged arm.

"Oh shit," Corvis thought. "Okay, calm down, there's no need to-"

"What in the name of Arceus happen to your arm?! I told you to be careful!" her mom shouted as Corvis sighed.

"I just happen to fall down, I promise there's nothing wrong with it," Corvis said as his mother took deep breaths and finally calmed down.

"Okay, I'm fine, I'm sorry sweetie but you know how much I worry now ever since that," she said, looking at his right arm.

"I'll be fine mom, Im already in Rustboro City, Im challenging the gym tomorrow," Corvis said

"Thats wonderful new, but Its already getting late young man, go to bed,"his mom said as Corvis laughed.

"I know, goodnight mom, I love you,"

"I love you too," she said before she hung up.

Corvis went upstairs and into his room. He changed into some sleeping clothes and lied down on the bed. He closed his eyes, for awhile, but was not able to fall asleep. He heart was racing, knowing he was able to start his first ever gym battle. He turned to the side, facing the window, revealing a beautiful scenery of the dark sky.

"I'm about to take my first step dad. You better get ready," he said quietly before falling to sleep.

"Corvis Destrum, your Pokémon is fully healed now," Nurse Joy said through the speaker. Corvis got.up and went to retrieve his Pokémon after thanking Nurse Joy. He went up to Sara who was patiently waiting for him.
