"So did you get the gift already?" Marie said as she looked at her son who was on the computer screen.
"Yup I did!" he said over the screen. He held up a small wrapped box for his mother to show. His mother smiled at that
"That's good," she said as she sighed, "Your father won't come hom e to see me during his work but still has the time to send gifts to his own son, I'm starting to think that he loves you more than me," she said as Corvis sweatdropped
"I'm sure Dad will visit you soon....," Corvis said as he recalled the time he last saw his father...., at his graduation when he received his trainer's ID, ".....Or maybe not" Corvis then heard something and looked away from the screen, "Hold on a sec, what is it!" he said as Marie stared at her son
He grew so much
It was as if the Corvis she knew before he left on his journey is different from the Corvis she knew now. He travelled so far, caught so many pokemon and even made new travelling companions. Although she already expected this, especially how much Corvis grew ever since he was a kid, both physically and mentally, thanks to his father's teachings.
"Anyway I gotta go now, we plan to head to Fallabor Town next since it's just on the way to Lavaridge City, home of my next badge," Corvis said
"Ahh alright, stay safe and have fun sweetie," her mother said as she ended the call and sighed, suddenly giving a more serious face.
"There's no doubt about it, he already knows," his mother said as she turned around. On the wall, was a picture of her, a man, and a younger Corvis with his arm still bandaged.
"Stay safe, please," his mother prayed
Back to Corvis, after ending the call, he held up the present that was given to him by his father.
"Wonder what this is," he said as he opened the lid, and what sat inside, was a necklace with with a silver cube that was a bit big, as if there was something inside. Out of curiosity, Corvis held up the cube and shook it, but nothing was heard.
"Well, guess it's just a regular necklace," he said as he put it around his neck, he stared at it, then smiled
"Thanks Dad,"
It's been almost 2 hours after leaving Verdanturf Town. The group was walking in an almost desert - esk area. There even a few trainers battling here and there but it was almost empty. But they were fortunate enough since the sun wasn't really bright. Grumbling noises was then heard as Chloe held her stomach.
"So uhh...anyone hungry? "she said as Ethan looked back at her.
"Not only did you said that 10 minutes ago but you already ate 2 of my sandwiches," Ethan said,
"But I'm still hungry..." Chloe whined as Sara giggled
"We'll take a break in awhile then, it's not good to travel when you're so full," she said as Chloe gave a sad face.
As they walked, Corvis couldn't help but notice the necklace. He kept fiddling it around between his fingers, the memories he had with his father came flooding in as well.
"So your dad gave that?" Sara said as she looked at Corvis' new accesory.
"Yeap, although I sitll don't know what for, there was no notes whatsoever, just the necklace," he said as Sara gasped
