17 | GEMSTONE CAVERN

Walker hated it. He hated waiting around. He hated it to simply lie down there, the only thing he was doing was breathing, and wait, wait for the time to be assigned to a mission. He sighed and got up to face a broken dummy in his sleeping quarters, his Crawdaunt snoring soundly on the foot of the bed. He glanced to the mirror and smirked at his shirtless body. Being a memeber of Team Aqua, as one of the generals as well, through years of fights have definitely sculpted his body to the way he wished.

Then he smiles dropped. His fist clenched and his teeth gritted.

His eyes landed upon one of the bruises that Ninja Kroger had given. He had never felt so humiliated in his life, losing to someone, and out of anyone, one with a water pokemon as a partner. Besides his boss,he was supposed to be the best water type trainer/fighter. The next time he meets Kroger, he will be sure to give him a beating that the damn ninja truly deserves.

But who knows when will be that time.

There was supposed to another mission given to one of the generals but since he had already gone out, it was her turn to go out to obtain something Team Aqua needs. He had to admit it, his boss made the right choice to select a women to be an Aqua Admiral. She had the guts, skills and resilience to be one. Just her personality and her feisty partner was enough to make a few members wet their pants. He smiled, wanting what'll happen when she comes back.

Corvis and the others had finished having their lunch and were still on route to Verdanturf Town. Sara couldn't help but admire her new team member. Not only was it already evolved but Roserade's skills were good enough for Sara to plan quite a few battle ideas already for her next Chateau match. As they walked, Ethan was holding a map, guiding the group and Corvis helped.

"On our way, we should be crossing a a cave called Gemstone Cavern, it's said to be a famocue cavern for miners especially as they are many evolution stones and other gems crafted into jewellry," Ethan said as he placed the map away.

"Ooh! Maybe you can a stone for Vivi!" Chloe suggested as Sara sweatdropped.

"Actually, I already had that kind of conversation with Vivi before we even came to Hoenn, she doesn't want to evolve just yet and even if she does, she still can't decide on what Eeveelution to become, so I won't force her into it," Sara said

"Good idea, after all, evolutions are permanent....well except for Mega Evolution," Corvis said

"Oh yeah! That reminds me Corvis, do you have Mega Stones for your pokemon? I mean, you have a Manetric, and soon to be Aggron and Swampert," Ethan asked as Corvis took out the Manecite and Swampertite given to him.

"I have Mega Stones, just not a Key Stone for myself," Corvis sweatdropped.

"Well that sucks, how come you have the Mega Stones but not Key Stone, I thought they were always given in a set?"

"Me too, but Professor Birch said as he didn't have any Key Stone for me and Wattson just gave me the Manecite and not anything else," 

"I'm sure you'll find a Key Stone soon, or maybe one for me as well," Sara giggled at the thought of having a Mega Gardevoir in her team. "Do you guys happen to have any pokemon that can Mega Evolve?" 

"Well, I have Saria but Ethan doesn't have any, it's too bad that a Bisharp can't Mega Evolve," Chloe said as Ethan just laughed

"Nah, I don't need a Mega on my team to be a strong trainer, Arthur will already be a strong Bisharp when he evolves one day," Ethan said as soon, the group noticed something ahead. A large cliff where a large hole was at the bottom, the entrance to the caverns. As they walked closer, a sign stood outside the entrance.
