"Man, that guy needs to chill when it comes these training sessions," Corvis grunted as he stretched his arm, hearing a crack in the process. They had been training all morning and night for the past few days. Out of curiosity even Ethan decided to try and give the training a try and needless to say, he dropped out just after one session. The only good outcome he found so far was how effective it was in just 2 days, his reflexes have gotten better and he could almost feel himself becoming stronger.... almost. And not just him, he even managed to get Leon to learn a new move, he just hoped it would turn out alright.

But he was glad Tatsuo said today was a day off where he can relax first, training few days in a row without rest isn't really that good for the body, so Corvis took this chance to finally challenge the Petalburg Gym today. And after the Petalburg Gym, it was back to the Chateau for Sara's and Chloe's next match.

And with that, he put on his jacket and walked out of his room.

"Alright let's go!" Aiden cheered enthusiastically as they walked out of the pokemon centre.

For some reason, Corvis had completely forgotten that Sara's father was still tagging along their group for their time being here in Petalburg. His plan was to originally just stay to watch Sara's Chateau match, but since that won't start for another few days, he had also decided to watch Corvis' and Ethan's gym battle. At this point, Corvis was sure that the much older man in the group was more excited about the gym battles today.

"I heard the Gym Leaders is actually a veteran Pokemon Ranger who's retired now, he used to be a mentor to younger rangers, not sure if he's still doing it now," Ethan explained.

"I think he is, I heard his Gym Trainers are all Rangers in training right now,"

"I'll keep that in mind, A veteran Pokemon Ranger and a Gym Leader," Corvis gulped. Something tells him that today was going to be slightly different from his other gym battles, but his thoughts were interrupted when Aiden kept talking about battle strategies he adopted when he was younger, much to Sara's frustration.

"Dad calm down you're not the one battling!" Sara exclaimed.

"Oh, c'mon dear, being with you guys makes me feel like a teenager again!" the businsman said with stars in his eyes.

The father and daughter kept bickering back and forth until they finally arrived at the gym building. Corvis looked up, the Gym symbol blocking the sunlight, a sense of nostalgic emerged. He remembered arriving at the gym the first with back when it was just him and Sara. To his relief, he saw a sign that said that the leader was in today.

"Let's do this," he said to himself as he held the handle and slid the door open.

And for a split second, he thought he was at the wrong place, the large bamboo mats all over the floor in the large building. It just the ground floor, there were shadows formed by various youngsters battling against each other, whether if it was martial arts or using their pokemon. The roof had rectuangular windows, there was a large symbol of a pokeball etched all over the floor with a large bell hanging by the ceiling, a rope extending down. It looked almost like a dojo instead of a gym.

"Hello How may I help you?" a voice spoke out, they all turned to the source of the voice, a woman dressed in ranger unifrom walking up to them.

"Hi, we're here to challenge the Gym Leader," Corvis said as the woman nodded.

"Alright, hold on," she said as she turned to rest of the building, cupping her hands at her mouth. "CHALLENGERS!" she yelled. Her loud voice catching them all off guard. Her large voice seemed to have been heard by everyone as they all stopped what they were doing and started to move the mats away, Corvis taking note of their good teamwork. Within seconds, a large battlefield was clear for his soon to be gym battle. One of the trainers went over to the bell and started pulling the bell, the bell's clanging noise rang throughout the entire gym.
