52 | EVER GRANDE BALL

"Ever Grande...Ball?" Corvis repeated Sara's words.

"Yeap!"

It's been almost 2 weeks ever since both Corvis and Ethan had finally obtained their eighth and final gym badge. Ever since that, the group had started their journey towards their final destination; Ever Grande City, home of the Pokemon League, where it would soon be at the final destination for them.

And after all that travelling, they had finally arrived the city. The most popular and biggest city in all of Hoenn. He remembered being so starstruck seeing what there was to do in Ever Grande. The whole city almost made Mauville seem like a smaller playground meant for children.

And now that they've arrived in the city, they plan to get to work immediately. Training. They may have arrived a bit earlier but that's when they found out that the Pokemon League Tournmanet was scheduled to begin in a month. By right, that gave them enough time to prepare. Corvis and Ethan planned to go have a practice battle right after breakfast, but that's when Sara brought up the current topic they were talking about.

The Ever Grande Ball.

"It's a royal formal celebration done by the Hoennese every year to celebrate the birth of the Battle Cheatau..." Sara read from her tablet, "And it's completely open to the public! Trainers are highly recommended to join the event,"

"Hold up, birth of the Battle Chateau?" Ethan asked. Both girls nodded.

"When is it then?" Corvis questioned.

Sara and Chloe gave a small smile to each other. "It's today! That's why I brought it up!" Sara giggled. "It's happening tonight, that's why we wanted to ask you guys first if we should all go,"

Reluctance held them back. The final battles was coming up soon and to be honest, Corvis had to admit, the only thing on his mind right now was to train as much as he could. Especially since he was one team member short.

The realization dawned onto him only when he saw the belt which held his pokeballs on the table this morning just as he came out of the shower. Leon, Titan, Gale, Kein and Levi. He only had 5 pokemon with him while there was a really good chance that every other trainer that was competing had a full set of 6. He knew he could easily catch a sixth team member if he went out to train but he knew he didn't want to simply catch any strong pokemon he sees, it has to be something that catches his eyes, not just in terms of strength.

Unfortunately for him, he has yet to run into any pokemon that he wanted on his team.

"Corvis?" Ethan called out his name, snapping him out of his daze. "What do you think?"

"Huh? Sorry did you say something?" Corvis quickly apolosigsed.

"I was asking about what'd you think about the Ball?" The Unovan asked in a hopeful voice,

"Well..." Corvis started, the thought of training still on his mind. "I guess, we should go. I mean, we just arrived in the city so we should probably enjoy it before we go full time training," Corvis spoke his opinions.

Both girls widened their eyes, clasping their hands together in excitement. Corvis and Ethan already dreading what was about to come.

"Well it looks like I don't really have much a choice do it," Ethan slumped his shoulders in defeat.

"No," Chloe quickly replied.

Sara swiped her fingers on the tablet again. "It looks like the event is tonight, that means we have plenty of time to prepare. What makes this even better is that even provide formal wear for attendees if they don't have any on hand,"
