Corvis cracked his arm and knuckles, both feeling slightly better from the hellish training that both he and Ethan endured the other day at the Battle Club. Evven after a day his body was still sore, but still enough to at least train his pokemon more. After the Battle Club, he noticed changes in his pokemon fast, they got stronger, faster, more powerful, but he knew he couldn;t let that get over his head. After training, his pokemon were even able to learn new moves.
"New moves that'll help greatly," he said to himself as he fiddled around Leon's pokeball. The elevator doors opened and Ethan, Chloe and Sara stepped out of it. Corvis standing up the moment he saw them.
"Not that I don't want you guys to come and watch or anything but you sure you don't want to go to the Battle Chateau?" Corvis asked, hearing about Sara's and Chloe's unfortunate loss.
"Really it's fine, plus, even if we wanted we can't " Sara said
"Huh?"
"Apperantly, there's some construction work over there after an Earthquake attack, almost all of the battlefield were destroyed," Chloe explained
"Yikes, when will it be ready?"
"Apperantly around next month, that's too long to stay here already," Chloe sighed
"Don't worry about that, there's still more along the way, the one at Fallarbor, Lavaridge even one at Mateo Island," Sara said
"Mateo Island? I don't think I heard of that island before,"
"It's an island that start getting popular last year, apperantly, Hoennese soldiers used that island as a recovery base after an attack from Sinnoh during the great regional war. A descendant of one of the soldiers set up a tourist site there and soon many came to visit, eventually deciding to live there as well," Sara explained as she read the info from her tablet.
"Anyway enough chit chat should we go now?" Ethan suggested as Corvis nodded.
"Time for badge number 3,"
The doors to Mauville City Gym opened, showing everyone it's electricity zapping around from metal structures. Corvis and the group walked down the stairs to the field as a door near the battlefield opened, with Wattson walking out.
"Ahhh Corvis, good to see you again, and what's this? More challengers?" Wattson asked as he saw Ethan and Chloe.
"Just me," Ethan said firmly
"Well you're just in luck young man, I brought all 6 of my pokemon so it's enough to battle you. So which one of you boys are going up first?" Wattson asked. Corvis was about to speak up before Ethan cut him off.
"You should go ahead first, you've been wanting this rematch for awhile anyway," Ethan offered as he sat down next to Chloe and Sara.
"Thanks man," Corvis said as he walked down to the field. As he did, a referee came up to the center of the stage, ready to speak.
"This will be a gym battle issued by challenger Corvis Destrum and leader Wattson. This will be a 3 on 3 battle, the challenger is allowed to substitute his pokemon during the battle while the gym leader is not. Send out our pokemon!"
"Alright let's show them electricity, Jolteon!" Wattson shouted as he threw a pokeball, revealing a familiar Jolteon as it took it's stance on the field.
Corvis took out a pokeball.
"Let's show them the fruits of our training, Kein!" he shouted as he threw the pokeball, reveaing the Aron. It gave a battle cry as it stood on the field, staring at a previous opponent. The Jolteon gave a sinister smile as he saw Kein.
