"Dad," Corvis called out. His father who was just reading the local newspaper whilst bringing his mug of coffee up to drink caffeine turned his attention toward his son.
"What is it kid," his father said as he took a sip of coffee.
"Is it ok to be scared of pokemon?"
Nathan got distracted. He slowly put down his mug of coffee, as well as his newspaper.
"Why the sudden question?" He asked with curiosity.
"A girl from school saw a small Caterpie crawling up the wall in the classroom. She shouted so loud that teachers had to come and get rid of the Caterpie, but they still had to help her," Corvis stated. "Why is the girl scared of a pokemon? Pokemon are our friends aren't they?"
His father scooched his chair closer to his son.
"Corvis," he said, "It's true, pokemon are our friends, everyone can be brave, but at the same time, not brave," he continued on. "Even Dad get's scared sometimes,"
Corvis gasped. "Even you? But you always save pokemon! How can you be scared?"
"I'm scared, because I'm a human being Corvis, it's called fear, it's a part of us and it's a good thing,"
Corvis tilted his head in confusion. "A good thing?"
"Fear is what drives us. Like for me, I fear that something bad will happen to the pokemon, that's why it makes me do my best. Fear is what creates the strongest part of ourselves,"
"But what if my fear is something that makes not want to do it anymore," he frowned. Nate smiled as he put a hand on Corvis' head.
"Then that fear will become something called despair. And it's your job," he said as he poked Corvis' chest. "To overcome that. One day, you will have to face your fear,"
"But how?" the kid pouted as his father laughed.
"That's something you have to overcome on your own,"
-----
"Achoo!" Corvis sneezed as he rubbed his nose.
"Are you getting a cold?" Sara asked as Corvis used his index finger to rub the bottom.
"Nahhh," he sniffed, "My nose just feels a bit stuffy," he assured. Corvis looked up and saw the lush of green leaves together. Ethan looked back at him.
"Lucky for this path huh?" Ethan said as Corvis chuckled.
"Yeah man, I'm just glad we didn't have to go all the way back to Mauville," he said.
The group were currently trekking through a newly built route that connected between Petalburg and Fortree City, They had panicked at first, thinking that they had to go back to Mauville to head to Fortree but luckily, they were reminded of the new path that was built a year ago that made all of their troubles go away.
"The grass here is quite long thought," Chloe said as she trekked through the tall grass.
"They did say the path was going to similar like this but at least it's not the entire path, we should be able to walk through normal ground after a while" Sara said as she raised her arms. The blades of the grass tickling her elbows was just a weird feeling for her. They had been walking almost 2 hours and they were glad that the sun decided to burn down on the clouds rather on them
"Huh," Ethan said as he noticed the dark clouds in the sky. "Looks like it's gonna rain, but not anytime soon though,"
Corvis looked up to examine the clouds. The faint gray colour of the clouds confirmed Ethan's statements. He could see still see light beams emerging from the clouds but knew the beams wouldn't last long. He turned around and saw darker clouds in the distance.
