The smell of the ocean air definitely felt like a refresher for Corvis. Whenever he opened his mouth, he could almost taste the salt in the air coming from waves of water that jumped up whenever the boat they were on sped by the sea route, using a boat yet provided by Fiona as they were told it would be too hard to get to Sootopolis from Mossdeep as the area would be mostly comprised of just sea.

And despite Corvis's claims that the group didn't mind taking the longer route, Fiona wouldn't take back the offer and practically forced them to go use a big boat provided by her family.

"I can't actually believe it," he heard Chloe murmured to herself. He looked over and saw her staring at the sky with a look of glee on her face. Both of the girls were sitting on chairs near the railing, admiring the sea view, but it seems the Chase sibling was admiring her imaginary cape with her face in the sky, looking like she was lost in thought.

Corvis smiled gently. Could anyone really blame her? She had finally achived a longtime goal of her after all her hard work of battling and training, something that the rest of them have yet to achive. He darted his eyes towards Sara who was also giggling at her childish joy.

His memories resurfaced back to that night when Sara had let out all her feeling on him, releasing every pent up emotion she had while he stood there, slowly comforting her. He looked towards his hand, his palm, that caressed her hair as she cried.

He could not deny it. There was just something about it. About holding her close this body body, enveloping her in his warmth as he could take in the smell of her flower-scented hair. It was something nice. He already imagined just wrapping his arms tighter around her, holding her closer, and for a longer time. He almost wished that she never stopped cyring just so they could stay in that moment.

He suddenly felt his heart beating faster and it felt louder. Why was he feeling this way? Was it because he imagined Sara being next to him and hugging her again? Or was it the Gym Badge Case that he was admiring with the view of the ocean?

He slowly examined his badges one by one. The Stone Badge he got from Roxanne, the Knuckle Badge from Brawly, the Dynamo Badge from Wattson, the Heat Badge from Alex, the Balance Badge from Norman, the Feather Badge from Winona and the Mind Badge from Tate and Liza.

Sitting after the Mind Badge, was an empty spot, soon to be his eight gym badge from Sootopolis. He hasn't even arrived at the city, let alone, even know what type the gym specializes in, but yet, he could feel the excitement bubbling from within. He just one badge away from finally competing in the Hoenn League. And one goal away from....

From what?

The realization struck him.

What would he do after the Hoenn League?

Where would he go?

He had been so focused on his journey in the present that he didn't bother thinking about what he would do in the future? Would he continue to travel in other regions? Or would he try to find something else?

But most importantly....

Would he be leaving his best friends?

"Daunting isn't it?" Ethan voice interrupted Corvis' thoughts. He turned towards the blonde and saw that the latter was also staring at his Badge Case. The reflection of the light on his badges shining in his eyes. "Just one badge away before the league,"

A grin sneaked itself onto his face. "Yeah," Corvis replied, "Although I wonder what type the gym will be using,"

"I heard it's a Water Type Gym," Ethan began, "But you can never be too sure, it might not be the same anymore,"
