Chapter 335
Derek had managed to get Cheryl to the dancing studio with only 2 minutes to spare after speeding up the highway, showing his sports car off and being very smug about how fast it could go, leading to him getting a punch in the arm from her before she gave him a big hug and a peck on the cheek as she said goodbye and jumped out to run into the studio, taking a bow as she entered the room just on time, much to the amusement of the others. Lily and Gary had left them all to it during the afternoon as they were going to have a meeting with Fatima about some things they needed to organise in the UK for her regarding production etc, leaving Fefe to bombard Cheryl with lots of questions whenever he had a chance to, as he just wanted everything on his and Lily’s date tonight to go perfectly. Cheryl had been finding it very sweet how much thought he was putting into it all and was obviously taking it very seriously, but she eventually had to shoo him away when she was in the middle of her and Tre’s rather intimate ‘Ghetto Baby’ move and Fefe’s head suddenly appeared over her, asking what wine Lily liked. Eventually though, the busy day of rehearsals came to an end and Cheryl simply gave Fefe a hug for being so adorable and for showing his nerves a bit, before she grabbed Tre’s hand and pulled him out towards the car, telling him he had no option but to stay with her at the villa tonight as she felt like she hadn't seen him properly in ages and she missed having her night time cuddles with him, making him laugh as he climbed into the car with her and set off for the villa.
It was hard to work out who was actually going out on a first date tonight as Cheryl bounced around excitedly, singing away to herself and driving the two boys mad as they tried to play on the Xbox, while Lily had suddenly realised that she was in fact going on her first date in about a year, and so had gone pretty quiet as the nerves set in, trying her best to remember that at the end of the day, she was only going out with Fefe who she knew very well now and so it wasn't as if she was going out on a date with a guy she’d never met before. She was very grateful that Cheryl was around for her to actually snap her out of the little day dreams she kept slipping into, telling her to go and have her shower and wash her hair so that Cheryl could start helping her get ready soon, as time was really starting to fly by.
“Aww she’s getting nervous bless her...I always think it’s funny how a whole different side comes out in people at times like this...haha...do you know what I mean?...like usually Lily is very straight forward and rational, just gets on with things, whereas now she’s like freaking out and losing the plot...and then like I know normally I’m a gobby cow and I’m pretty confident and stuff, but I was a nervous wreck before going out with you for the first time...haha” Cheryl scrunched her nose up cutely as she went and sat down next to Tre on the sofa and snuggled into his side as he put his arm around her and soothingly stroked the side of her thigh as she brought her legs up to rest on the sofa too.
“Aww you cutie...haha...yeah, I know what you mean though...it is scary to be fair, even when you already know you really like the person and you already get on well...it’s a big step starting off a relationship, it’s a huge commitment isn't it?...I think my hands produced a year’s supply of sweat that night I took you out for the first time...haha...I was terrified leading up to it when I was getting ready and stuff, but then it turned into the best night of my life” Tre sweetly replied, ignoring Gary who was sticking his fingers down his throat, pretending to retch.
“It was an amazing night...haha...I can still remember every single second of it like it just happened yesterday...I wouldn't change a thing about it either” Cheryl gazed up into Tre’s eyes as she smiled, before her dimples came out even more as he filled the gap in between them by giving her a soft, tender kiss on her lips. “...and I still love when you do that...haha...but it’s like this girl Derek went out with last night, you never know what could happen...it could all fizzle out into nothing, or he could end up marrying her and spending the rest of his life with her, all from that one first date...it’s scary when you think about it isn't it? Like you could make one tiny mistake or whatever on that first date and totally screw up something that could have been brilliant...like imagine if I’d suddenly started feeling ill that night or got a bad head or whatever and cancelled on you, and then I would have gone back to the UK never having gone out with you...that might have been it for us mightn't it? And then we never would have discovered what it’s become” she explained as Tre continued rubbing her thigh with his thumb, stroking a lock of her behind her ear with his other hand whilst he gazed into her chocolate brown eyes, knowing that never would have happened as she’d already captured his heart even before that first date.
