Chapter 198
Cheryl was still none the wiser to the fact that Tre had gone home or that he’d even arrived in the first place as she continued making the dinner with Lily in the kitchen. “I can’t even tell you how amazing that meal Tre made last night was...he’s seriously such a good little cook and he swears he’s never made any of these things before...I was like eating a tiny piece at a time just to make it last longer!...haha” she chuckled as she went to stir the beef and vegetables in the pan before pouring some black bean sauce over the top of it.
“And meanwhile Gary made me some beans on toast...” Lily smirked as Cheryl went back to sit with her, giggling away while she sympathetically patted her on the shoulder.
“Bless ya...I’ll try to not keep abandoning you...you need to come over and watch his dance reels anyway, they’re incredible!...I can’t believe he danced for Whitney Housten...and he looked so handsome all dressed up...he’s so freekin hot!...haha” she began gushing over him again, still slightly awestruck from watching him last night, having not seen him dancing in that style before.
“Haha...look at you fangirling over your boyfriend...he was so embarrassed in the car, it was funny!...haha...you two are like the biggest fans of each other...do you cheer for each other when you’re in the bedroom and stuff!” Lily joked, making Cheryl gasp and playfully slap her arm before they both burst out laughing.
“Shut up ya creep...he doesn’t need any encouragement in bed anyway...” she cheekily winked, getting up to give the pan another stir while Lily just shook her head, giggling away. “Where the hell is he anyway? This is nearly ready... he said he was coming straight over when I texted him before!” Cheryl continued as she noticed the time.
Lily shrugged her shoulders before going to fetch some plates from the cupboard and pour some drinks for them while Cheryl wandered through to the lounge to tell Gary it was ready.
“Gaz!....if you can tear yourself away from your stupid football, your dinners ready in there!” Cheryl called to him as she went to pick her phone up that was charging on the side table, checking if she’d had any missed calls or messages but her inbox was empty. “What’s he doing?...” she muttered to herself, knowing it wouldn’t take nowhere near this long to walk from his place to hers.
“I know! He went ages a go!... what did you send him out for?!” Gary answered her as he got up and walked past.
“What?!....you mean he’s already been here?” she asked, looking puzzled as she followed him through to the kitchen.
“Yeah he got here ages a go...he was sat watching the TV with me and then he got up to go and see you and then wandered back out...I guessed you’d asked him to go to the shop or something” Gary explained as he sat down with Lily at the table and started tucking into his food, still not thinking there was anything more to it.
“He didn’t come to see us though...I didn’t even know he’d arrived yet...”Cheryl replied, feeling very confused as Lily waved her over to sit down and just start her dinner.
“Babe, just come and eat...he probably just forgot something and went back to get it...you said he was staying over didn’t ya?...he probably just forgot a change of clothes or something for rehearsals tomorrow” Lily smiled as Cheryl went to join them; still thinking something wasn’t quite right.
“Yeah...but he’d have come in to tell us ...yanno he always says bye like a hundred times before he actually goes” she replied, feeling like this wasn’t like Tre at all and so began texting him, <Hi babe, where r u? Gary said uve already been around. Ur dinners ready xxxxx>
She put her phone down on the table and ate some of her stir fry, keeping quiet while Lily and Gary just chatted away but she had such a strong feeling that something wasn’t right. She immediately picked her phone back up as it buzzed a few minutes later, frowning as she read <not really hungry anymore tbh>
