Chapter 288
The next day they all had a day off from rehearsals, Beth having decided that it would be good to continuously have 3 days in the studio and then one day off to keep the flow going rather than stopping for the weekend. After spending practically every second with each other the day before and Cheryl having spent another night at Tre’s, the couple had decided to get on with their own bits and bobs today, and so Tre had gone out for a run in the canyon with Marshall, Vince and Adrian, while Cheryl had returned to the Villa to have a Skype meeting with her management, where she had given them some ideas for what she wanted as her tour merchandise, and also had lots of photographs to look through and approve from her most recent photo shoots before they’d be published to the public. These kinds of little jobs always seemed to take quite a long time however, and it was approaching 4pm, on what was meant to be her day off, before she’d finally finished all of the things she needed to do and could go out onto the balcony to sunbathe with Lily.
“Urghh...finally!...what was it Beth said to me yesterday just as I was leaving?...make sure you chill out on your day off...not much chance of that!” Cheryl breathed out as she pulled her orange camisole top off and lay back on the sun lounger in her denim shorts and a fuchsia pink bikini top, hoping to catch the last of the suns warm rays before the evening set in.
“Haha...here, have a white wine spritza...relax” Lily chuckled as she sat up and poured Cheryl a glass of wine mixed with lemonade, getting a raised eyebrow in return.
“Wooo...you’re starting early lilypad!...haha...the bottle’s already half empty ya big plonkee!” Cheryl joked as she took a glass and chinked it off Lily’s, loving to lounge out on the balcony as it was so peaceful being able to hear the waves of the ocean and yet not have to deal with getting sand everywhere.
“Well it’s diluted with lemonade...so that’s my excuse...hahaha...you happy with everything? I don’t need to make any angry phone calls?” Lily smirked as the two girls lay back down under the sun, closing their eyes.
“Na, it’s all good...I love the photos for the book...I’d be happy for him to use any of them really, they look really clean and pure, if you get what I mean...I love them” Cheryl smiled, loving whenever she managed to sort things out and tick something off her to do list, her book now pretty much being one of them as it was all ready to be released next month now and so it was only organising a short book tour that was still left to sort out regarding her autobiography.
“Has the arsehole got back to you about all that or not?” Lily quizzically asked which made Cheryl open her eyes and frown, not knowing what she was on about.
“Which arsehole?” she queried, shading her eyes with her hand as she looked across at Lily who was taking a sip from her drink.
“Ashley...has he not said anything to you to tell ya if he’s happy with it or not after you took the time to call him?” she replied before smirking as Cheryl playfully slapped her arm and pulled a moody face.
“Quit with your hate campaign now please...you lot are as bad as the fricken papers still going on about it 2 and half years later...and no he hasn’t actually...I didn’t really expect him to...I told him outright that I wouldn’t be changing anything based on what he thought, I just wanted to give him the opportunity to read it first, that’s all...there isn’t much point in him calling me back to just tell me what he thinks, is there?...I don’t need a book review from him!” she explained, having actually forgotten all about it as her ex husband rarely entered her thoughts these days.
“Fair enough...just thought he’d want to give his two pennies worth...I’m surprised he didn’t ask for a cut in it actually, just for including his name” Lily grumbled, not wanting to say too much and risk getting ranted at.
