Chapter 379
The next day brought a fresh new rush of excitement as Cheryl and her team rehearsed in the vast Nottingham arena to get ready for tonight’s show; Cheryl not quite believing that she was already onto the third one and that the next would be at London’s famous O2, which would also be the date that was going to be filmed and released on DVD, giving her that extra pressure of trying to make sure it was perfect; plus she permanently had all her fingers and toes crossed that Tre would be able to take part after recovering well from his injury and now only had a slight limp that was a massive improvement on how he had been. They’d all just stayed in a hotel last night after flying in from Dublin, but the reason why they all seemed to be extra excited today was because their tour bus was currently on its way for them to sleep in tonight whilst been driven to London, always a great part of any tour they’d all agree on.“Hahaha…Chez you were so close to falling over there! Good save!” Lily sat on the edge of the stage laughing away after watching them all do a run through of the ‘Girls Aloud’ medley, and had spotted Cheryl nearly topple over at one point in her heels before carrying on as if nothing had happened.
“Haha…I swear, I’d literally die if I ever just fell flat on me face up on stage…it would be mortifying!” Cheryl grinned back whilst sounding a bit out of breath, tottering over to Lily who passed her a drink of water and continued giggling away at how Cheryl had managed to style her clumsy moment out with a lot of dramatic arm movements.
“I’d actually be mortified for you babe…haha…I think I’d just run onto stage and put a paper bag over your head before dragging you off!...haha…how’s it looking for Tre tomorrow anyway? Have we got the go ahead yet?” Lily continued joking around as Cheryl sat down next to her in her black leather outfit, dangling her legs off the end of the stage as her calf muscles were burning quite a bit after having had a day off yesterday and then suddenly having to get back into it all again.
“He’s just having some physio on it now, so hopefully he’ll find out for certain at some point today…but I had a good look at it this morning when we woke up, and it looks really good now…like there’s hardly any swelling whatsoever, his knobbly knees are back…haha…and it’s only very slightly bruised, so I’m guessing all that inside bruising and excess fluid he had inside of it has gone now, so he should be fine…I really hope he is able to join in tomorrow though…like the O2 is special isn’t it? And I’d love to see him like on the DVD and stuff so we can watch it back in years to come…it would be a shame if when I’m watching it in the future, everybody else is there except for him…that would suck” Cheryl explained and gave her opinion, feeling pretty positive that Tre would be given the go ahead, as he really did seem well enough to at least be able to do some of the performances tomorrow, even if he had to just start with 2 or 3 routines and then gradually build his input up as the tour continued.
“Yey!...haha…you can see he’s absolutely desperate to get up there with you all…haha…he’s like a little puppy dog trapped on a lead watching all the other dogs playing in the park…haha…that’s literally what he looks like when he’s watching…it’s so cute” Lily giggled away, having been stood with Tre during the Dublin show and could see that although he was smiling and cheering for Cheryl the whole time, he was literally having to hold himself back the whole time from just jumping up there with them on the stage to join in.
“Haha…did you have to just compare us all to dogs Lils?...cheers babe!...haha…nah but I know he really wants to join in, he’s getting frustrated again about it I think, he keeps randomly getting moody…haha…you can’t blame him though can ya?...putting all that work in and then literally falling at the final hurdle while everyone else just carries on and gets to enjoy the fun part of it all…I’d literally have created a whole new definition for grumpy if I’d been in his shoes…haha…I’d have been on such a warpath with myself” Cheryl smirked, feeling that Tre had actually taken the whole situation quite well considering, as she knew for a fact she’d have reacted much worse if it had been her who had injured herself, but he’d definitely been trying his best to remain cheerful and upbeat so as not to bring the mood down for everybody else.
“You’d have driven me crazy if it had been you!...I think I would have just resigned on the spot to save me from the stress…haha…all my hair would have fallen out or something!...Oh God, have you noticed Marshall and Brya today by the way?!” Lily suddenly burst out before quickly lowering her voice back down as Cheryl began nodding her head with wide eyes.
“Oh my God yes!...what the hell’s going on with them?...I walked into one of the dressing rooms earlier to make myself a coffee, and they were literally screaming at each other!...I managed to tip toe my way back out before they seen me I think…” she instantly replied, wanting to hear the gossip.
“Well Fe went to the bar in the hotel last night with a few of the others, and then this morning he told me that apparently Marshall got really wound up with Brya because he thought she was flirting with the bartender, which of course she’s p!ssed off about cos she doesn’t think she was…like Fefe said the two of them had some banter going on and he seemed to fancy her a bit, but he didn’t think she was being too bad…they’re not happy though are they?…haha…she gave him such an evil look before while you were all dancing” Lily explained what she knew so far, while Cheryl just bit her bottom lip with a worried expression, loving Brya and Marshall as a couple and couldn’t imagine Brya purposefully flirting with somebody else right under Marshall’s nose.
“Brya loves Marsh, she wouldn’t do that…it’s clearly just been a misunderstanding and they’re both too angry to talk about it properly…I can’t have couples breaking up on my tour…haha…I’m gonna have to step in and be the love doctor aren’t I?...haha” Cheryl breathed out heavily, not liking when people weren’t getting on, and especially over silly things like this probably was.
“She’s absolutely crazy about him, that’s how I know she definitely wouldn’t have done anything on purpose…you know what she’s like, she’s just a naturally bubbly person, she’ll talk to anyone…she won’t have meant anything by joking on with the bartender guy, and it’s not her fault if he fancied her is it? She’s gorgeous” Lily agreed with Cheryl that it must all just be a misunderstanding, as she knew Brya very well now and the two of them had become good friends, meaning that Lily knew Brya was too sweet to ever disrespect Marshall like that.
“She doesn’t realise she is though, that’s the problem…haha…I don’t think she expects these guys to like her like that when she starts just joking on with them…whereas Marshall can obviously see how stunning she is and so gets why these guys like her so much…plus he’s always worried about the age difference between them isn’t he?...8 years isn’t that much I don’t think?...not when they’re both still in their 20’s…like it’s not as if she’s still just a teenager, or that one of them is much much older…like they still act the same age and are into the same kinds of stuff aren’t they?...he just needs to trust her a bit more” Cheryl spoke quietly so that neither of them who were still hovering around on stage would hear that they were talking about them.
“I think Marshall acts younger than her anyway!...haha…at least I know I never have to worry about Fefe getting jealous of me talking to any other guys…he’s too bloody big headed to believe I’d want anybody else but him…hahaha” Lily giggled back before the two girls began laughing together, glancing over at Fefe who was doing some crazy dancing by himself while everyone else was having a break, completely lost in his own weird little world.
