Chapter 317
The day at rehearsals had happily for Cheryl gone extremely fast, but not so much for Tre who didn’t really know what he was going to do with himself all evening on his own, as he didn’t really fancy going out and he definitely couldn’t handle going to the gym straight after a day of full on dancing. Cheryl had been so excited about meeting up with Derek tonight and was constantly going on about it to Lily and Gary who obviously knew him very well too, not really helping Tre’s little issues he had with it, but he kept them to himself as he knew what she’d said was right and he really didn’t have any right to be jealous of a man who had helped her through the hardest of times, and consequently saved her life. It was just a bit of a strange concept to him really, as all of his best friends were always male and so he found it hard to get his head around how somebody could be extremely close to somebody of the opposite sex and just keep it friendly; especially as the only girl who he’d ever been best friends with during his childhood had ended up being his only serious girlfriend for 8 years. Even so, he knew he needed to keep his mouth closed and just try to understand the strange situation, as Cheryl had made it very clear to him that she wouldn’t take any jealousy issues from him when it regarded Derek.
As soon as Beth had called for them to stop, Cheryl had ran straight over to grab her bag so that she could text Derek telling him she’d finished on time and that she’d go straight around his once she’d showered and got changed, them having decided to order a Chinese to have together at his after she’d told him she was starving. Just as she was stuffing her phone back into her bag, Beth called her over to tell her that she didn’t have to come in until lunch time tomorrow as the boys were just coming in to do some stunt work on the trampolines, and then the afternoon would be solely for ‘The Voice’ rehearsals as it was their last chance before they were going to Denmark.
“YESSS! So I don’t have to rush home to go to bed early?!...haha” Cheryl bounced up and down as she heard the news that she didn’t have an early start, clapping her hands together while Tre just rolled his eyes and smirked at her, wishing he could have a nice lie in too.
“Hahaha...well it’s probably best if you’re meeting up with Del boy anyway!...you two are like two old women nattering away once you get started! You’ll be chatting all night!” Beth chuckled back, also knowing Derek quite well and always had found the pair very entertaining together, especially as Cheryl had only ever seemed to be herself when he was around, otherwise she tended to just be quiet and withdrawn during those hard times.
“Erm...lonely boyfriend in the room over here” Tre jokingly interrupted, wishing everybody would stop making it sound like Cheryl was off to see her boyfriend who she hadn’t seen for ages, making them all aww and then laugh at him as he stood awkwardly waiting.
“Haha...aww sorry Tre...you feeling left out babe?” Beth grinned at him as he pulled an adorable face and nodded his head, before bursting out laughing as Cheryl suddenly launched herself at him and gave him a huge hug, squeezing him tightly and swaying from side to side.
“Hahaha...OK chez...haha...I’m going blue now babe...you’re squishing me!” he sniggered as she continued hugging him, before finally looking up at him with a cheeky twinkle in her eyes which made his heart flutter, thinking she was totally stunning.
“You’re hot” she randomly told him, which didn’t help him with his quest of trying to stop laughing as he just chuckled away and cuddled her into him, kissing the top of her head as she was always so much smaller than him when she had flat trainers on.
“Haha...you’re sexy” he playfully replied, making her look back up and give him a flirty wink that made his smile widen as he lightly tapped her nose and gave her a kiss on the lips.
