Chapter 193
Once all the 4th of July celebrations were over, it was safe to say that everyone was completely exhausted and after saying their goodbyes, Cheryl, Tre, Rich and Shirley made their way back to the house and practically went up to bed straight away after such an amazing day. It had been absolutely boiling over night which had resulted in Cheryl waking up practically hanging off the edge of the bed to escape Tre’s body heat which was radiating off him as he continued sleeping in only his grey boxers, both of them having kicked the sheets down to the end of the bed during the night. She yawned as she slowly rolled back over onto the bed, rubbing her eyes as she lay on her back, once again taken over by the extreme heat that was circulating the bedroom despite it only being early in the morning. Although she regularly complained about the rain and cold weather back home, she knew she’d be like a bear with a sore head constantly if she ever had to permanently put up with this kind of heat on a day to day basis, it drove her totally crazy being all hot and sweaty all the time.
After lying just baking away for a few minutes, she stretched across to the bedside table to grab her phone and smiled as she seen she had some messages that had been sent yesterday when she’d been out all day, jokingly wishing her a happy Independence Day.
Kimberley had sent <HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!! Lol hope u r enjoying being an adopted American 4 the day babe :D love and miss u already xxx>
And her mam had simply sent <God Bless America! Happy Independence Day 2 u and Tre, hope u enjoy it  xxxx>
She giggled to herself as she read through some of the others, knowing that they were actually all taking the mick out of her as she had been so excited for it even though at the time she didn’t actually have a clue what it was about. Eventually she reached Tre’s last message which had been the one telling her he’d gone in the shower, instantly making her dimples beam from her cheeks at how lovely and cute he was. She read it again and got the same butterflies she had received yesterday morning, filling her with such happiness that her eyes naturally sparkled. She turned her head to look down at him still sleeping away with one of his hands resting on his perfectly sculptured six pack, looking so peaceful and sweet in his little dreamland. Cheryl cheekily took a photo of him before putting her phone back on the table and turned to lie on her side, just gazing at him while her mind began drifting to how amazing everything was at the moment and how unbelievably in love with Tre she was. She couldn’t believe she had let herself get this attached to him but Kimberley was right, she couldn’t let what had happened in her past affect her new relationship and it wouldn’t be fair on Tre if she did. She knew he was a good, honest man and he cared about her more than anything, showing it every second of every day which had left her with no option but to fall completely and wholeheartedly in love with him, thinking about him from the second she woke up to the second she went to sleep. She snapped out of her little day dream as she suddenly heard a door open on the landing and then somebody going down the stairs.
The soft, relaxed breathing coming from Tre told her that he wouldn’t be waking up any time soon and so after lightly stroking her finger across his smooth, bare chest and then down his cheek while she sweetly kissed his lips, trying not to disturb him, she quietly climbing out of bed to go and get a drink from downstairs. Just from stepping out onto the landing she could feel the coolness in contrast with the boiling hot bedroom and could hear somebody rattling around in the kitchen, who she was hoping was Tre’s mom as she was only wearing her tiny PJ’s which may have been slightly embarrassing if it was his brother downstairs.
She was relieved as wandered into the kitchen to find Shirley happily bustling around at the work top, quietly humming to herself before Jake ran in from the garden and straight up to Cheryl who crouched down to greet him. “Oh...morning sweetheart!...you’re up early, I didn’t wake you did I?!” the cheerful looking woman spun around after hearing Cheryl behind her, giving her a warm, friendly smile.
