Chapter 349
It had been a long and tedious flight back to the UK, but thankfully due to them all not getting much sleep last night, they’d all managed to have a little sleep to break the journey up a bit, meaning that when they landed at Heathrow airport nearly 11 hours later where it was just after 1pm on a very cold and rainy afternoon, they weren’t feeling too tired and had probably planned it just right to keep on top of any jet lag they had. The other passengers on the plane had laughed as soon as they’d touched down on the runway and Cheryl’s very excitable team had instantly began whooping and cheering before singing their little clique song at the tops of their voices, missing out the swear words of course due to there being small children sat on the plane, but their boisterous behaviour couldn’t be helped as it all suddenly became very real to them that they were on the cusp of the tour they’d been rehearsing for all month, triggering an adrenaline rush to wash over them all as they made a conga line whilst leaving the plane, amusing the flight staff greatly as they waved them all goodbye.
A short while later once they’d all gone their separate ways; Lily heading off back to her apartment where her sister Rosie was waiting, the dancers all making their way to the hotel they were staying at, while Cheryl, Gary and Tre jumped into Steve’s car who had kindly come to pick them up to take them back to Cheryl’s nice luxurious manor house out in the countryside surrounding London, Cheryl buzzing from knowing that her two little dogs were waiting for her back home as she’d texted her mam when she’d landed who had told her she was at the house making them all something nice to eat.
“I literally feel like I’ve been away forever!” Cheryl grinned as the car turned into her long gravel driveway in front of her house, it all looking slightly different to when she’d left as the leaves had all fallen from the trees now as autumn set in, and it was also definitely much colder, and not just because they’d been used to the high temperatures of LA. Cheryl already knew that one of the first things she was going to do was grab one of her brand new woolly jumpers that she was aware had been delivered to her house while she’d been away, as every new season, designers would flood her in all of their new clothes for her as they always benefited from people seeing Cheryl wearing their stock and it had become a bit of a promotional thing for them, something that Cheryl never complained about as she loved to have a new selection of clothes every few months.
“I can’t believe how fricken cold it is...thank God I packed lots of hoodies and stuff...I hate being cold, this is why I moved to LA!” Tre grumbled as he sat huddled in the corner of the car with his hood up and his big green body warmer on, folding his arms and looking like he was slightly over reacting as he sat shivering away, not being impressed whatsoever with England’s bad weather.
“How can you be so bloody cold when I’m feeling canny alright?...look at all the packing on you man, you’re just pure muscle...man up ya wimp!” Gary smirked at him whilst getting a moody stare in return that was just making Cheryl giggle at them both, also thinking Tre was being a bit of a drama queen as she knew that when they got up to the likes of Glasgow and Newcastle ,the temperature would drop dramatically even more.
“I’ll put the heating on for ya babe, don’t you go worrying your pretty little head...we’ll have you toastie warm in no time” she patronisingly gave his head an affectionate scratch as he simply sat with his lips pouted, wanting to just stay in the car rather than make the mad dash into the house.
“California girl....haha” Gary slyly chipped in whilst nodding at Tre, setting his sister off laughing hysterically as they gave each other a high five and ignored the growl that escaped from Tre, before he was left bracing himself for the chilly air outside when the two siblings jumped out and ran around the back of the car to grab their cases, feeling so happy to finally be home.
