*Cindy's POV*

Everyone was around the table, getting ready to settle down. Jason and Julie were the first to come home, then Vincent and Micheal. Micheal is the oldest, he's 26 and attends UPenn School of Medicine. He declined to offer to take over my father's company. The next in line is Vincent, he's 23 and had just graduated from college, he took up the offer after Micheal. Julie and Jason are twins, they are 19 years turning 20 next month, and the only ones who are taking life easy right now because they don't have much to worry about. Julie is my father's dream daughter, she's always there to comfort him, she's interested in the family business and she looks exactly like my mother. It's not that my dad hates me, he just wishes I were more like her, calmer. The truth is Julie is wilder than me, I have seen her craziest moments and the embarrassing ones, but at the end of the day, she would never let my parents witness that side of her.

"Our little sister, what are your plans this year?" Vincent asks me as we set the table. He's here with his girlfriend, I'm not gonna lie she is gorgeous, but why the hell did he bring her?

"I don't know, maybe get through my junior year with good grades and enjoy life while I can" I crack a little smile and step away from him to somewhere else. Probably my room is the best place now.

After staying in here for a while, I see Jason's text telling me it's time to eat, so I pull my dress back on and run back down.

"Cindy please get me the wine I kept on the table when you're coming thank you," my mom tells me while leaving the kitchen.

Once we are all seated, my dad gives a toast to us getting back together for 'quality family time'. "Cheers" we answer in unison.

"How is Grace, it's been long since I saw her?" Micheal asks,

"She's doing well, I went to school with her today"
"That's true who got the new Tesla in the garage?" Jason chimes in loudly.

"That's mine Jason, and no we aren't exchanging cars" I know Jason enough that I know he wants to take my car to school for a semester.

"Your mom and I got it for her, this summer" my dad adds in looking so proud of himself.

"Wow you really are a spoiled brat" Jason just stares at me as he tells me.

"Excuse me, if anyone here is a spoiled brat, it's Julie" I argue back at him, I'm genuinely not offended because this is how we chat every time.

"Don't you see the pattern, both are girls" he says with a mouthful and shakes his head like it's the most obvious thing.

"Grace what college are you aiming towards" seriously is he fucking kidding me now.

"Well Vincent I don't know yet" my dad looks at me with the side of his eye because he desperately wants me to get into an ivy league and I'm certainly not interested.

"I don't know which one but I would love a school in Cali"

"Full sentences Cindy" she smiles at me and I return it.

"I would love any school in California" I reply to him,

"So Stanford then" I have never thought of going there but I know that's where Andrew goes.

"Not that maybe the University Of Southern California, I prefer that one. If not that then I'll just rather go to Syracuse" after this statement I decide not to listen to any more questions and just stay in my little bubble.

"Is there any boy for me to kill mmhmm?" Jason continues bugging me, my mom answers him "No relationships till she's 18" he stares back at me in horror.
