It's the end of your sixth year at Hogwarts. Since Draco's having family problems, he's coming home with you for the summer.

You don't have any parents. You live with your cousins Holly and Lauren. They're both 3 years older than you, and they also attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Holly's a Hufflepuff and Lauren's a Ravenclaw.

You open the door. "We're here!"

"Yaaaaa! Y/n's home!!!" You hear Holly running across the house. She approaches you with a big hug.

Lauren also walks over, slightly more calm than Holly, also embracing you in a hug. "Hey y/n! How was your sixth year?"

"It was great!" You reply.

"Only one year left!" Lauren's gaze moves to your boyfriend. "Who's this?"

Holly gasps in excitement. "Oh my god! I know who you areee! This is Draco." She walks over and puts an arm around him. "Y/n's boyfriend. I've heard a lot about you."

Draco awkwardly grins.

"You're taller than I imagined." She messes up his hair. "Well, you guys are just in time for dinner." Holly dances her way into the kitchen.

"I'll take those. " Lauren starts taking your bags upstairs.

You both look at each other and let out a sigh of relief.

"Welcome home" you say.

Holly already set the table for dinner.

"It smells really good in here" you say.

"It's probably the basil. I grow it myself" she reminds you. "I also made the bread myself" she says proudly.

You look outside. "Wow, your garden has gotten so much bigger than last summer!"

"Yah, I spend a lot of time out there. Y/n makes the best apple pie, Draco."

I do you mouth to him as you sit down.

"Well you'll have to make it for me sometime." He smiles and takes a seat at the table next to you.

Holly sits down. "Now where's Lauren?"

"Coming!" You hear Lauren from the top of the stairs. She takes a seat across from you. "Let's eat!"

Dinner was really good. Hopefully, Holly and Lauren are growing to like Draco.

Lauren calls you over from the living room. "Y/n, can I talk to you? In private."

Lauren pulls you away into a room so Draco can't hear. "You didn't tell me you were bringing a Malfoy in my house. I saw his name on his bag along with his Slytherin robes."

"He's not like his parents. He's different" you defend him.

"Oh, and I saw a dark mark on his arm. How are you going to explain that one?" She speaks in a loud whisper.

Your face grows red.

"He can't stay here y/n."

"He has nowhere else to go! I'm all he has."

"Y/n, he's a death ea-" she's interrupted by Holly.

"What's going on in here?" Holly reads the tension in the room.

"Y/n brought a death eater in this house" Lauren quietly announces.

Holly looks shocked and disappointed at the same time. "Y/n, why didn't you tell me this!"

"I thought if I told you, you wouldn't let him stay. He's good, I promise. He's not like them. He's not a death eater." It's so aggravating when you're telling the truth and people don't believe you. "Please." It's seeing the tears starting to form in your eyes that pulls at your cousins hearts, making them want to believe you. "Let him stay."

"Let's wait until Monday, then decide" Holly states.

Lauren looks a little irritated. "Fine, but if I catch him doing dark magic, he's leaving, no questions asked."

"And as you already know, no magic. Please make sure he's aware of that. We can't risk having another incident" Holly reminds you.

"Thank you." You leave, grateful that they're giving Draco a chance to stay.

Draco gives you a worried look. He already knows you were talking about him.
