You wake up from a short nap because there's a knock on the door. "Come in" you say, expecting Draco or Hermione.

It was Ron, and it turned out you were actually quite glad to see him. Hermione would be all worried and flustered "I heard you weren't feeling well" Ron said. "I figured I'd bring you some food since you're missing out on lunch."

"You're the best" you smile.

He sits at the end of your bed, starting to munch on his plate of food. "Can I ask what happened? Draco didn't say much."

"I had a panic attack."

"Oh... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked" he said with his mouth stuffed. His face grew red.

"No, don't be."

Now, Ron's the second person you've told. He doesn't seem to know what to say. It's not often that Ron gets awkward, but it's rare he gets awkward around you.

"I'm not a ticking time bomb, Ron. You can still talk to me like a human." You exchanged a smile.

You talked to Ron for the rest of lunch. You talked about your anxiety, but also lighthearted stuff. You haven't even talked to Draco about your anxiety. It just felt right talking to Ron about it. He's a good listener.

A little before your third class started, Draco came to check on you and ended up walking you to class since you were feeling much better.

Later that evening, you open up to Draco about your anxiety. "I wish you would have told me sooner, y/n" Draco says, reaching to hold your hands. "I would have been able to help you."

"I'm sorry. I didn't want you to be worried."

"I was worried! You started acting different. The foot tapping, the nail biting. I assumed it was anxiety but you never came to me about it and I didn't want to push you. How long has this been going on?" He speaks with gentleness and worry.

"Since we went to see Madam Pomfrey after the pregnancy test. Maybe before. I didn't start to notice it until she pointed it out."

He pulls you into a hug. "We walk together, y/n" he says over your shoulder. "Through the darkness." You eventually pull away. "What if I hadn't been there? It hurts me to think of you having to go though that by yourself. Promise me you'll let me help you through this."

"I promise."

One day, you're walking hand in hand with Draco to your next class when you hear a familiar voice. "Malfoy and y/l/n. Who would've thought they'd still be together!" Of course it's Cedric.

"When's he gonna learn to leave us alone" Draco whispers.

You roll your eyes and keep walking.

"I sure thought I would've had my chance with y/n by now."

"Like, is he asking to get beaten up again?" Draco grins.

Cedric keeps declaring these nonsense remarks that you aren't even listening to anymore. "Kiss me" you say.

Draco's eyes sparkle. He takes your hand and pulls you in front of Cedric. "Ah, so you're finally giving her up to me, Malfoy" Cedric sneers.

Draco smirks at Cedric then aggressively pulls you in for a passionate kiss. He leans into you as you make out. You're a little flustered by how fiery the kiss was, but you like it. You intertwine your tongue with Draco's as he pushes his lips against yours. You slide your tongue against Draco's and feel his breath. Draco moves a finger down your neck, making Cedric turn red. Draco bites your lip and you smile. You pull away and glare at Cedric. He gives you a dirty look but backs away, dumbfounded.

After he left, Draco laughs and you hug him. "Good idea, y/l/n. Now I'd be surprised if he ever hits on you again." You look at each other, satisfied, knowing you finally beat Cedric.
