You did end up having some decent conversation with the twins (though only when Draco wasn't around). They would get all stiff and protective like older brothers when he was around, but not say anything, because they respect that you're dating him. They just see him as the person he used to be from years ago when they were still at Hogwarts, but I'm sure they'll notice that he's changed soon enough. 

Before the sun set, the twins made sure to play a round of quidditch on their first day back. It was you, Draco, Harry, Ron, Fred, George, Ginny, and Charlie. Fred and George were captains, so they chose teams. There will also only be only one seeker, one keeper, one beater, and one chaser for each team, since there's only 8 people in total. 

After a round of rock, paper, scissors, it was decided that George was choosing first. "Harry," he said, choosing Harry as seeker. 

"Erm... Charlie," Fred said, choosing his brother for seeker on his team. 

"Hey!" Ginny called, as she was expecting to be a seeker.

"Sorry sis, Charlie's better than you."

She scoffed, and folded her arms over her chest, glaring at her brother. 

"Ginny, how about you be my chaser," George said, causing the younger Weasley to light up and flip off Fred as she walked over to George. 

"Y/n, mind being keeper?" Fred said. When you were kids, you would play a lot of quidditch, and being at the Burrow, you actually learned to be a pretty good keeper. You didn't really want to be Gryffidor keeper when the spot was open though, and besides, you wanted your best friend, Ron to be keeper, as he would always talk to you about how he wished he was on the quidditch team.

Ron.

You still haven't spoken since you yelled at each other. You're just waiting for it to be over, and for him to come to terms with Draco. Sooner or later, you'll find your way back to each other

You smile and nod, walking over to Fred. You can't help but notice his kind eyes, and his signature Weasley freckles, and his smile, and his lips... You didn't used to look at him this way.  

The teams ended up being Fred as beater on his team, with you as keeper, Charlie as seeker, and Draco as chaser. George was beater as well, with Harry as seeker, Ginny as chaser, and Ron as keeper. Neville was the ref, and Luna and Hermione were watching from the side. 

It was actually a really close game. Ginny and Draco were both scoring tons of goals, and you were trying your best to block Ginny's but she plays rough, and she got quite a few past you. Same goes for Draco and Ron. You couldn't really see all the way on the other end, but their encounters didn't seem too polite. 

Harry found the snitch first, but Charlie caught it first, causing cheers from the three spectators down below, and a massive "Dammit!" from Ginny. 

When you were making your way over from the goals, to celebrate with your "Team Fred" members, Fred was giving your boyfriend a pat on the back saying something along the lines of "good job man," with a genuine smile? You were too far to clearly hear what he said, but you knew it was something good, because they kept talking after.

If only Ron would soften up Draco-

Your thoughts were interrupted by Charlie, who flew over next to you. "Well done, y/n. It's been a long time since we've played together, and I'd say you might still be better than Ron."

Why did he have to bring up Ron again?

He must have noticed your smile drop when he mentioned his younger brother, because the next thing he said was "Hey, I know Ron's being a real git right now, but he'll come around." You both stop on your brooms and look at each other."

You shrug. "That's what I keep telling myself, but he's stubborn as shit and won't ever apologize."

"He will," Charlie said. "He cares a lot about you, and he'll soon realize that this whole thing that's going on between you right now is stupid, and he needs his best friend back."

You take a deep breath. "I hope you're right."

"If it makes you feel any better, I know Draco's good, and so does just about everyone else. I wasn't too sure about Fred and George, but look..." You look below to see Draco and Fred walking back to the house together, clearly immersed in conversation. "You're happy with him, right?"

You look at Charlie, almost taking offense to this. "Of course I'm happy with him!"

"And I believe you!" he says, putting his arms up in defense. "But once Ron sees that, that's when he'll realize he fucked up."

You offer him a smile. 

"Let's catch up with the others, shall we," he says, returning the smile.
