You, Hermione, Ginny, and Luna are getting ready for the Spring Ball in you and Hermione's room.

You've got a cute pink dress that does down to your knees. To accompany this, you have heels with embedded white crystals and white crystal pins to keep up your messy-but-cute bun.

Everyone else looks beautiful too. Hermione is wearing a blue ruffled gown, Luna is wearing a flowy violet dress, and Ginny is wearing a long lime green gown.

You planned to meet the boys in the Gryffindor common room. The four of you walked down the stairs with excited chatter. It makes you happy when you see the boys also immersed in excited conversation. Even Draco is fitting in with the Gryffindors, having a laugh with Ron at the moment. I wonder who Ron ended up asking.

As the boys see you emerge from the stairs, their eyes twinkle. As do yours when you see Draco looking handsome in his white suit. You asked him to wear a pink bow tie to match your dress, which he did because he's such a good boyfriend. Your eyes meet his. As soon as you get to the bottom of the stairs, he pulls you in by the waist. His gentle touch gives you butterflies. Your face is inches away from his enchanting green eyes. "You look divine, darling."

"You look dashing yourself, Malfoy."

You lean closer, just about brushing your lips against his.

"You lot," Ron echoes over to you. "Enough with the love fest, time to go."

You follow Ginny and Harry, who were walking behind Hermione, Luna, Neville, and Ron.

As you enter the great hall, you see the lovely decorations and everyone dressed up all fancy with faces of excitement. Even the professors seem to be enjoying themselves. There's some classical ball music playing to set the mood.

Your group clumps together as soon as you enter, but Ginny and Harry soon head straight for the dance floor. You and Draco followed them, along with Luna and Neville. You didn't go to far from where you were just standing, so you were able to overhear Hermione's response to Ron asking her to dance. "No, Ronald. Someone has already asked me. If you wanted a dance, you should have asked earlier."

"Who are you going with, anyways," Ron continues.

"Cedric Diggory. And hey look, there he is." She shoved past Ron and runs over to Cedric, taking his hand as he guides her to the dance floor.

You meet Ron's eyes. You give him a sorrowful look.

Ron walks over to a group of girls, sitting and gossiping. After some swooning, he gets Lavender Brown on her feet and dancing with him.

"Hey." Draco's voice snaps your attention back to him. "Are you okay?"

He didn't see the whole Ron and Hermione thing. "It's quite a shame. They really were good for each other."

"Who?"

"Hermione and Ron." You nod your head towards them on the dance floor.

He scans the room to understand what you're on about. He spots Ron and Lavender. "Oh." Then his eyes fall on Hermione and Cedric. "The fuck is Hermione doing with Diggory?" He whispers loudly.

You sigh. "Moving on, I guess."

All your attention is on Draco and your dancing. You had to take stupid dance practice to learn classical ball dances.

They also brought out a band, the Weird Sisters. Everyone was singing and shouting and jumping up and down to the music.

Your favorite part was the slow dancing. They put on some soft music, and all the real couples stayed on the dance floor.

Draco put his hands around your waist, drawing you closer. You wrapped your arms over his shoulders, and rested your head on his chest. You swayed to the music, feeling his chest rise with each breath. All you want in the world is to be with Draco for the rest of your life. You never wanted the moment to end, but eventually the music changed and the night carried on.
