"Morning Weasleys! And non-Weasleys" Arthur says, taking his seat next to Charlie at the kitchen table.

Molly sets one last dish on the table, then sits next to her husband.

Draco's sitting on your right, and Ron's sitting on your left. The two most important men in your life. It's pretty clear Ron wants nothing to do with your boyfriend, and you're hoping that changes soon. If breakfast goes well, you will have engaged them both in a conversation.

Breakfast did not go well.

The food was delicious as always, and it was lovely to see all your friends and the people you would call family, but it seems as if Ron's hatred for Draco is growing worse.

At one point, Hermione (who sat on the other side of Draco) asked about your stay at the beach house. This got Ron's blood boiling. He didn't say anything, but you could almost feel the steam radiating from him.

It's only Ron that has a problem with Draco. Maybe it's because he's the closest to you, and you're his best friend, and he just doesn't want another man in your life. Hermione has no problem with him. Nor Neville, or Ginny, or Luna, or even Harry, who used to be his arch nemesis the first couple years of school. Draco still apologizes routinely to everyone (especially Harry) over the person he used to be. Everyone's forgiven him, and you could even go as far to say they're friends now.

"Ron, I need to talk to you" you say to your best friend before he gets settled on a sofa after breakfast.

"What?"

"Just come with me." You pull him by the sleeve and take him upstairs to his room.

You close the door behind you then turn to face him. "What the hell is wrong with you" you say with a straight face.

"What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean!"

It's clear that he knows what you're talking about, but doesn't want to say anything.

"Say something."

"About what?"

"Stop playing dumb! You've got a problem with my boyfriend. Talk to me about it. I can't live with your constant glares at him."

"Fine. You're dating Draco Malfoy" he says very slow and clearly. "That's my problem."

That hurt. "You're the only one that has a problem with me dating him."

"He's a jerk, y/n."

"He's changed, Ronald." You don't dare break eye contact with him.

"I still haven't forgiven him for his past. Maybe he has changed, but I know what he has done and said, and I can't seem to change the way I view him."

"Look... I know he's done some bad things in his past, but he is a good person. If he wasn't, I wouldn't be dating him."

Ron crosses his arms and sighs, looking around his room. There a nothing but silence for a couple seconds.

"Ron." He looks back to you. "He's good to me, and I love him.

"You love him?"

"I do. I love you too. You're my best friend."

"Sure."

"What! Ronald Bilius Weasley, is this what this is about? You're jealous! You don't see me death glaring Hermione every time I see her."

"Because you're friends with Hermione."

You stand there and stare at him with an 'I told you so' look.

"What?"

"So can you admit that Hermione's your girlfriend and not your best friend?"

"Yah... you're my best friend."

You raise your eyebrows. "Ok, so can we agree that we're best friends?"

"Yes..."

"And can we agree that our significant others won't get in the way of our friendship and we can all just get along?"

Silence.

You roll your eyes. "I hate you sometimes, you know that?"

He takes a deep breath. "I don't trust him, y/n. I can't forgive him."

"Everyone else has forgiven him!"

"Everyone else has forgotten what he's done! Look... y/n, as your best friend, I can't help but worry about you! I've know what he's done with his other girlfriends, and I don't want you to be next.

"His other girlfriends lasted maybe two weeks at most, but he's kept me around, and you know why?"

He stays silent.

"...Because he loves me."

"What if you're just slightly better than the other girls, but eventually he gets bored of you, dumps you, and moves on to the next one."

That hurt so bad you can barely think of anything to say. The anger is building up inside you. You know for a fact that Draco loves you and won't dump you. "You're just mad that someone loves me, and you want me all to yourself. Can't stand another guy being important in my life."

"Y/n, it's not that you have a boyfriend, it's that your boyfriend is Drac-"

"RON! SHUT UP ABOUT ALL THIS NOT FORGIVING CRAP! I'VE TOLD YOU HE'S CHANGED, AND AS MY BEST FRIEND, YOU SHOULD TRUST ME! AS MY BEST FRIEND, YOU SHOULD SUPPORT ME!"

"AS YOUR BEST FRIEND, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL YOU WHEN YOU'RE MAKING A STUPID MISTAKE!"

And with that, you sharply turn for the exit. "Grow up" you say before slamming the door so loud the whole house probably heard.
