You wake up in Draco's arms. One glance at the window, and you notice it's snowing. "Babe, I'm going shopping with Holly today. You want to sleep in?"

"Yeah," he mumbles in his morning voice.

"Okay, love." You kiss him on the forehead before going to get ready in the bathroom. You look really pretty today. You curled your hair and put on a red sweater Molly made for you.

You walk downstairs and have a cherry danish pastry for breakfast. "I was thinking we could go to The Grove today," you say. The Grove is your favorite muggle shopping center around town.

"Of course!" Holly says.

You go and get all your Christmas and clothes shopping done, along with having a fun time with your cousin. You get some hot cocoa at a cafe to warm up inside. The snow through the window is so pretty with the sun setting over the buildings of the cute town. It's nice to be back to your hometown, and you're really excited for Christmas in a couple days.

While you're out with Holly, Draco sleeps in before lazily walking downstairs. Lauren is sitting at the kitchen with a cup of tea and a copy of the daily prophet. She's the more calm and intellectual of the two. She couldn't help but be skeptical of Draco the first time he came over. "Good morning," she says, looking up from her paper as Draco takes a seat at the table across from her.

"Morning," he says, returning the smile.

"Care for a danish?"

He shakes his head. "I'm not really hungry at the moment."

After a couple minutes of listening to nothing but the sounds of the morning, Draco speaks up. "Hey Lauren," he says.

She looks up from her paper again. She doesn't say anything, waiting for him to continue.

"I really love y/n."

Lauren smiles, intrigued by what he's going to say next.

"I was wondering if- if I could have your blessing to marry her."

Lauren's shoulders relax as she looks out the window with a smile on her face. "You realize you're only seventeen, right?"

"Yes, but in six months, we'll both be eighteen, so..."

There was a silence as Lauren contemplated what Draco just asked.

He looks at his hands and fiddles with his rings. "I just... I really, really love her. I know getting married right after school seems like something only stupid teenagers do, but we're meant together, and I know it... I know it. You don't have to answer now. I just wanted to let you know my intentions."

Lauren is still quiet with her thoughts.

"I gave her a promise ring," he says, still trying to plead his case.

"I wondered if that's what that was." She smiles, still looking out the window.

There's almost a minute of silence before Lauren replies. "Just..."

Draco's head shoots up, anticipating a response.

"Invite me to the wedding."

A weight is lifted off his shoulders, giving a sigh of relief. He stumbles out of his seat to give Lauren a hug. "Thank you so much. You don't understand how much she means to me."

She hugs him back. "Eighteen, alright?"

"Eighteen," he replies, trying not to get choked up.

He paces through the kitchen, adrenaline rushing through his body by just the thought of marrying you. The thought of getting on one knee and asking you the question. It's really going to happen.
