It's Christmas Eve. You're all lounging around the fireplace late at night.

You're laying on Draco's chest, and his arms are around you. You can feel his heart beating. His fingers are laced around yours.

"You know what I just remembered," you add to the conversation.

"What?"

"It's my half birthday today." It's not that amusing, but it's something to add to the not-lively conversation.

"Well happy half birthday, darling," Draco says, kissing the top of your head.

"In exactly 6 months, I'll be eighteen." You don't notice Lauren exchange a glance with Draco, giving him a reassuring smile.

"I'm getting tired. I think I'm gonna head up," Holly says after giving a big yawn.

"Same here," Lauren adds on before they both walk up the stairs.

"Well then," Draco says with a smirk. "It's only us now."

You turn around to face him, your legs straddling him as he puts his arms around your waist.

You kiss. And just like the mood of the evening, it's slow and passionate. You take your time tasting his lips. Your hands cup his jaw, leaning deeper into the kiss.

You wake up around 8:00 on Christmas morning. Just like a child, you jump out of bed and run to Draco's room. You jump in his bed and wake him. "It's Christmas!"

"It's also eight in the morning, darling," he says in a morning voice.

You lay on top of him. "But it's Christmassss."

There's a silence as he tries to fall back asleep.

"C'mon," you groan, rolling off the bed, yanking his arm to try to get him to follow you.

"Alright, alright," he says, sitting up straight.

You then run to Holly's room and wake her up using the same strategy of jumping on the bed, as well as Lauren.

Once everyone is downstairs, you put some cinnamon rolls in the oven; it's a y/l/n tradition.

After breakfast, everyone's awake and eager to open presents. You wrap a blanket around your shoulders and pass around the presents. As you've gotten older, opening presents on Christmas progressively becomes less fun. You've finally realized that the best part of Christmas is spending time with loved ones.

The rest of the day was relaxing. Most of the time, you were curled up against Draco. He played with your hair, and you played with his rings. Occasionally when a good Christmas song came on, you would sing along. Neither of you are particularly good at singing, but when he quietly sings right against your ear when you're cuddling like that, it sends a shiver down your spine and gives you butterflies.

One morning, you woke up with a couple feet of snow. After making pancakes for breakfast, you make Draco play in the snow with you.

You run outside and snow is still falling. Draco follows soon after. "Snowball fight!" You call, revealing a snowball you were hiding behind your back right before throwing at at him.

Many snowballs and laughs later, you find yourself on the ground in defeat. You lay there, tired with your eyes closed as you hear the snow crunching getting closer and closer to you. Before you know it, Draco throws one last snowball at your face, causing you to sit up and laugh. He pulls you to your feet.

"My lips are cold," you say, looking at his ice grey eyes.

"I can fix that." You kiss. His lips are cold too, but they feel so good against yours. He pulls your waist in so your bodies are touching.

The moment is like something from one of those basic Christmas movies. The whole world seems to stop and it's just you and your lover kissing in the middle of a cold winters day.

You pull back. "Hope that helped," he says with snow in his hair and on his eyelashes. You just smile, moving your hands off his chest to take his in yours.

"I love you."
