Hermione does in fact wake you up before dinner. When you get to the Great Hall, you walk over to your seats by Ron and Harry at the Gryffindor table as usual. When they see you, they look surprised.

Ron jumps up to greet you with a bone crushing hug. You used to be bigger than him when you first met, but now he's got the body of a quidditch player, and you have to actually look up to meet his eyes. "I'm sorry, y/n. I'm sorry I caused you extra stress."

"You already apologized, you git."

"I know, but I felt like I had to apologize again. Just to let you know how much you mean to me."

You smile in response.

"So is your boyfriend okay?" He asks as you take your seat next to him.

"Yeah, he's perfectly fine." You gesture across the room to the Slytherin table, where the blonde is sitting with his elbows on the table, and his head resting in his hands. He notices you, and you exchange a smile.

"Hey, Harry!" You say, not forgetting the raven haired boy. You stand back up and reach across the table to meet him in a hug.

"Hey, y/n. I'm glad everything's okay."

"Everything is perfectly fi- what is Ron doing?"
It was right as you were sitting back down that you noticed the ginger was half way across the Great Hall, on his way to the Slytherin table. There's a small part of you that thinks his motive is to punch your boyfriend... but only a minuscule chance.

When Ron approaches Draco, your boyfriend stands up and after they exchange a couple words (which you couldn't hear from where you're sitting), they shake hands. It brings a smile to your face, knowing that Ron's now making an effort to be kind to Draco just for your sake.

After dinner and unpacking, you go to Draco's room just to chill. "Hey babe," you say, climbing on his bed to lay on top of him while he's reading.

"Hello, darling." He lifts his book up so you can get comfortable against him before he kisses your head. "Hey, actually..." You both sit up. "Let's go somewhere," he says with excitement in his eyes.

He takes you through the halls of the castle, holding your hand while doing so. He leads you outside and with your hands intertwined, starting to walk down the path you would take to Hagrid's cabin.

"Can I ask where we're going?"

"What's the fun in asking if you're going to find out shortly?"

In response, you smile up at him and give his hand a little squeeze.

You take your time walking across the bridge and down the trail where you date a detour on the path you would have taken to Hagrid's. You walk through the grass and flowers until you're far enough to feel alone.

With the flick of a wand, Draco makes a picnic setting appear; a picnic blanket, some snack food and bottle of berry cider with cute champagne glasses.

"A date," he says, facing you and holding one of your hands in his. "Because I think we're due for one." His other hand moves from his pocket to hold out a ring in front of you. "And promise ring," he says. "Because I don't want to ever lose you."

You're at a loss for word, looking at the ring then back up at him.

"Sorry if this is too soon. We don't have to do this right now if you don't w-"

"No, I think this is perfect."

He smiles, and slides it onto your finger. It's a simple silver band with the words "forever mine" engraved on the inside.

"How long have you had this?" You ask.

"Well, I got it one of the first weeks of summer. I always knew you were the one. There's something special about you. I was carrying it in around my pocket just waiting for the right moment, which never really came. Then after the situation that happened there, I knew I had to give it to you soon, because I don't want that to ever happen again, and I want you to know that. My loyalty lies with you."

In response, you pull his face down to yours and kiss him. A gentle kiss. "I love you."

"I love you too, y/n."

You sat down on the blanket and continued to have an enjoyable evening in each others presence. You ended up forgetting about the time and staying out past curfew. You only noticed the time when you realized it was getting chilly, but instead of going back inside, you cuddled up against Draco and he kept you warm.

As you lay on the blanket with him, you look at the stars. "I never really just stop and look at the stars," you say.

"You know, I'm named after a constellation."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. Draco is Latin for Dragon. I don't know where the constellation is, but I know it's there."

Putting a couple fingers on his chin, you move his head to face you, planting another kiss on his lips before wrapping your arms around him once more and lying your head on his chest.
