Draco walks you back to your room, but before you can open the door, He stops you in your tracks to face him, placing his hands on your shoulders. "Y/n, now, about the thing I've been hiding." His voice is serious.

"You don't have to tell me, I respect your privacy."

He shakes his head. "No, I have to tell you. It can't stay a secret when I know I can prevent..." He seems at a loss for words. "Just, meet me in the room of requirement tomorrow at ten in the morning. And bring the group, 'kay?"

You're shocked by knowing that something serious is going on. Big enough to get everyone involved. You nod.

"I love you, now get some rest" Draco says, pulling you in for one last hug.

"I love you" you say in return, opening the door to your dorm.

"Hey y/n" Hermione says, sitting on her bed, brushing her damp hair. She must have just
gotten out of the shower.

"Hi" you say with a slightly shakey voice, still worrying about what this big thing could be.

"Are you alright? I thought you would be here doing homework" Hermione asks.

"I passed out and Draco took me to the hospital wing." She looks shocked.

"Merlin y/n! So things are better with you and Draco then?"

"Yeah. He actually wants us to meet him
tomorrow to talk about something. It seemed urgent."

"Yeah?"

"All of us" you add.

Hermione's face goes white. It's rare that we have to scedule a meeting with the whole group. Especially Draco being the one to initiate it, which he has never done before. As in the group, there's you, Hermione, Harry, Ron, Draco, Neville, Luna and Ginny.

•••

You wake up up feeling nervous. Last night you texted the others, so they should be meeting you there. You walk with Hermione to the room of requirement, and walk in to see Luna and Draco already there, quietly chatting.

When he sees you, he comes to greet you with a kiss as Hermione goes to talk with Luna. Draco's face is pink and he might even be sweating.

"Are you okay?" You whisper.

"Yeah, just kinda nervous."

In the room of requirement, there's a circle of chairs and sofas with a large coffee table in the middle. You take a seat on a sofa next to Draco.

Soon, Harry, Ron, Ginny and Neville arrive. Everyone takes a seat in anticipation.

"You're probably wondering why I called you here" Draco says, pulling a letter out of his pocket. "Mum sent me a letter" Draco says, opening it back up and skimming the words for probably the 100th time. He takes a deep breath. "The dark lord has returned" he quotes. "And he's planning an attack on the school."

Everyone exchanges looks around the circle.

It's getting harder for Draco to continue reading. You put a comforting hand on his leg. "He's more powerful than ever, and... and will be coming to defeat Harry Potter... for good." He quickly tucks away the letter.

Everyone's eyes land on Harry, who is becoming just as red as Draco.

"So when do you think this attack is going to happen?" Ron asks with an unsteady voice.

"She didn't say. But I got this Monday, and she told me to be home by Sunday, which is toda-"

"Wait, you're leaving?" You say,

"No, I'm not going anywhere. I need to stay here with you guys" he says putting an arm around you.

"What if your mum just made it up to get you to come home?" Luna adds.

"She didn't make it up" Harry says promptly. "I hate admitting it but Narcissa's right. Voldemort has returned."

"Your scar..." Ron mumbles softly, putting the pieces together.

"Well, then we should leave. We need to tell everyone" Ginny says.

"We can't run away from this" Harry says, looking at his hands. "Not me at least. I need to face him and not hide."

"We're not leaving you, Harry" Hermione says. "We're staying here." She looks around the circle and everyone nods in agreement.

"So what should we do?" Ron asks.

There's a silence. This is how Draco must have felt this past week with all this burdening information. No wonder he didn't want to talk. It hurts to know that someone is coming to kill one of your best friends and you don't know how to save him.

You rest your head on Draco's shoulder.

"We'll just have to wait. And when the death eaters come, we'll be ready" Neville says. That's the first time he's spoken today.

"I can't imagine having to wait that long, since mum's letter seemed urgent" Draco says.

Once again, the group sits there in
silence. It's terrifying. They could come any day now, or weeks. You won't know until it's happening. You look around at your friends all consoling each other. You haven't felt this much weighted energy ever in your life. You keep wanting to reassure yourself that it will be over, but even if it happens in weeks, there will still be the destruction done. Physical and emotional. You might lose a friend, and that loss will never heal.
