We're both walking in silence to his room. I wonder what will he do to me? Ang ama ni Ruby ay hindi mabasa. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang mga susunod na kilos niya.
We are guarded with five wolves behind our backs. On his side was his wife. They're talking with something that I can't hear.
His father is like a retired military general. He stands straight and is manly. He do have red eyes and thick lashes. Same with his brows... They are thick and dark. With his age, he still looks like he's in mid 50's.
"Do you feel uncomfortable?" Reis asked, the eldest among them. "Take it easy, bro," he tapped my shoulder.
I shrugged my shoulders to take it easily, as he said. Is he close to Ruby? How is their relationship? Does he know my sister? Maraming tanong ang naglalaro sa isipan ko.
"How is your relationship with her?" I asked out of the blue. Curiosity is killing me.
"Gustong-gusto mo ang mga bagay na tungkol sa kanya?" Malalim na boses ang kumawala sa kanya.
Napaurong ako sa isinagot niya.
"Of course... We're partners and I want to know her deeper," diin ko.
"Weh? Kasali ba 'yan sa misyon? Ikaw nga ang kauna-unahang lalaking dinala niya rito," iling niya.
Whatever it is. I want to know her... Deeply... Reis sighed when he saw me looking down, biting my lowerlip for failing to get some answers about her personality.

Napaiwas ako ng tingin. I know. It's because of that fucking man. Her pain was all because of him. And her, having a dead child will never mean anything to me.
"Of course not. It's her past. Masakit iyon sa kanya at hindi ko iyon gagawing rason para babaan ang tingin sa kanya. Hindi s*x ang habol ko," diin ko sa kanya.
"Good... Dahil kung iyon ang habol mo, pipisain kita... Lalo na 'yan," tinuro niya ang ibaba ko.
Pinalo ko ang kamay niya sa inis. Bakit ba ganito mag-salita ito? Akala mo ay matagal na kaming magkasama o magkakilala.
"Come on, just tell something more about her!" Inis na bigkas ko.
It's Ruby... Still Ruby and will forever be Ruby. The most powerful woman I've ever met. I will never look at her differently.
"Betrayal... that's what she hates the most. I'm sure you know about the legend? She told you about it, right?" Tanong niya.
"Binasa ko ang libro noong unang gabi na nakita ko siyang nagtransform," tumango siya sa naging sagot ko.
"Siya ang bunso sa aming tatlo. Pinakamatigas ang ulo... Hindi sumusunod sa utos... Suwail... At malayo ang loob," mapait na bigkas niya sa huling salita.
"She's not that kind of person before. Iyang kapatid ko noon, malapit sa amin. Palangiti, matalino, matapang, at siya ang laging nagpapasaya sa aming dalawa ng Ate niya if we two were upset. Before... Anlapit nila ni Rashea sa isa't-isa. We can't separate them... Ayaw nilang magkalayo," Reis continued.
"Believe it or not, Rashea was the person she loved the most. And Ruby was the person Rashea loved the most too... For the both of them, they are each other's safest place," he narrated.
