He bowed when we got inside the Alpha's office. Umiinom si Papa kahit na may sugat siya sa leeg. Tuloy-tuloy ang pag-inom niya at hindi niya kahit itinitigil man lang nang isang segundo.
"You're drinking? You're still injured." Puna ko.
"It doesn't matter. It's just a scratch."
Umismid si Mama at umupo sa upuan niya. Hinihintay ko na si Papa ang magsalita pero siya ang nagsalita.
"I heard you tried to leave Ruby?" She asked so I rubbed my left wrist.
What the hell? When did they care about my love life?
"Ma, it's my love life. You shouldn't be worried." I laughed.
"There's no love here if your life is in line."
I arched my brows to Papa. Really?
"If this will happen again, we will cut the connection between you and my daughter and will start finding another mortal for her again."
Kumunot ang kilay ko. What on earth is this?
"I can't find another man like him again. I mean, I won't find another man if it's not him."
Kita ko mula sa gilid ang pag titig niya sa akin. Bahagya siyang napangiti pero napawi rin iyon nang magsalita si Papa.
"Glad to hear. One more time, you won't find another man again if it's not him because I will not let you engage yourself with love again." He said calmly before placing the glass down.
Hindi ko siya nakitang naging ganito kay Conard noon.

"Zion, huwag mong ibaba ang sarili mo." I called.
Ngumiti siya para sabihing ayos lang.
"Sana hindi mo kainin ang mga sinasabi mo dahil sa oras na kinain mo 'yan, ako mismo ang pipira-piraso sa'yo kahit ano pa ang rason mo."

Hindi ako kumilos sa sinabi niya. Nanatili akong nakayuko at naghihintay ng tugon niya. Pakiramdam ko... Hindi pa rin sapat ang mga sinabi niya para sa gusto kong pagmamahal. Ganyan si Papa... Puro siya salita pero kayang-kaya niya akong isuko kapag si Reis o si Rashea ang nasa panganib.
"Patawad, Alpha... Hindi ko sinasadya ang mga sinabi ko sa kanya-
"Stop this nonsense." I cut him off.
Hinigpitan niya ang hawak sa pulsuhan ko para pakalmahin ako.
