"So it's quite different then last year," Rudy stated as they sat together at his parents picnic table on the fourth of July.
Penny had insisted they cook up a feast and decorate for the holiday even though it was only the four of them, Cara, Rudy's brothers, and Henning's girlfriend who would be in attendance. She wanted to attempt at making it as normal as possible.
Henning had apparently started dating Sydney from the art supply store so he and Alec were out picking her up for the family dinner and then buying fireworks for later while Rudy and Evaline were assigned to decorate the backyard. Penny and Andrew were both inside preparing food while Cara was napping.
"Yeah, it makes me sad that everything is cancelled," she responded.
"I know especially when our first kiss happened during the fireworks," he reminded her.
"Oh God," she laughed at the reminder, "I can't believe it's been almost a year already. I was terrified I was going to freak out when we kissed and now look at us; married with a six month old."
"And having lots of sex," he whispered in her ear causing her to laugh as she swatted him. "You're ridiculous and I'm not talking to you," she stated turning her head away from him.
"Awwww, Pretty Girl don't be like that," he whined leaning towards her and placing a kiss on her shoulder as he moved up her neck.
Shivering as he gently sucked at a particularly sensitive area Evaline quietly moaned as she turned to face him. Before she had a chance to say anything he was kissing the breath out of her.
"You think they'd miss us if we took a walk through the woods?" he murmured against her lips. Biting her lip Evaline contemplated, "I've never had sex in the woods," she said raising her eyebrows.
"Well fourth of July is a day of firsts for us we should keep with tradition," he said getting up from the picnic table and pulling her with him.
Laughing they hurried towards the forest that was his back yard, "You know this is probably in that book I got you for Christmas," she commented as they weaved through the trees.
"Well let's check one off the list," he responded backing her against a tree.
"Good thing I wore a dress today."
"Ssshhhhh less talking more moaning."
