"Is that the last of it?" Rudy asked as Evaline wheeled Cara's large suitcase out to the living room.
"Yeah," she replied, "Are you sure you're gonna be able to get all this out there by yourself?" she asked looking at the three suitcases and Cara's folded up pack and play.
"JD said he'd help me get it back to the house," he told her.
"Well getting this stuff out there now will definitely save us the struggle when we fly with her. I think with what's left we'll only have to check two suitcases and her stroller," she commented.
"What are you doing with her bouncer and the co-sleeper?"
"Bella's gonna pack them in a box and take them to ups and ship them to us," she responded.
"And I know you have a closet filled with clothes. You're telling me you got most of your stuff into this suitcase?" he questioned looking doubtfully at one of the suitcases.
"Moving across the country has forced me to downsize my wardrobe and I googled how to pack a shit ton of stuff into a suitcase," she replied, shrugging.
Laughing Rudy shook his head, "Of course you did," he said kissing her.
"I'm gonna take this stuff down to Chase's jeep," he told her pulling away. "Are you sure you don't want me to take you to the airport?" she asked.
"No, I don't want you to have to deal with driving through that mess when Chase and Maddie are going there anyway. He's just gonna leave the jeep parked too so we have a way back since we're all coming back on the same flight," he said picking up the pack and play and grabbing one of the suitcases.
While Rudy took everything down to the jeep Evaline checked on a napping Cara.
"Hey, everyone's in the living room if you want to say bye," Rudy whispered coming to stand behind her as she watched Cara sleep.
"She's gonna be a month tomorrow," Evaline whispered as he wrapped his arms around her.
"I know. I'm sorry I'm not going to be here," he said, "You and Elaine are still going to do the one month pictures, right?" he asked.
"Yeah and you don't need to be sorry. I know you'd rather be here with us, but you going out early ended up working out for the best since the stuff I ordered is going to be delivered on Thursday," she reminded him.
"True I can have her room ready before I leave to come back here."
"You don't need to do all," she began to say before he cut her off by kissing her. "Shut up I want to," he told her simply.
"Hey, we gotta get going," Chase whispered from the door.
Groaning the pair turned to the boy in the doorway, "You're like the devil of bad news," Evaline told him as Rudy told him he'd be right there.
Letting go of her he bent to kiss Cara, "You be good for mommy," he whispered to the sleeping baby, "I'll see you in a few days."
Standing up straight he turned to find Evaline smiling at him, "What?" he questioned.
"You're adorable and I love you," she responded.
"I love you too," he said pulling her to him and kissing her.
"Dude, we don't got time for that," Chase hissed effectively breaking them apart.
"God you are so impatient," Evaline griped as she headed towards the bedroom door with Rudy behind her.
