"Pretty Girl come sit down," Rudy called from the living room, "My parents aren't going to care how clean my bedroom is," he yelled to Evaline.
"Rudy they deserve clean sheets on your bed," Evaline scolded coming into the living room carrying a wash basket. "I haven't slept in my bed in like a week. They're fine," he replied.
"I'm washing them," she decided taking the basket to the built in laundry unit.
"Hey, are you going to be pissed if I go down to the gym with Chase and not help you clean our already clean apartment?" Rudy questioned, walking up behind her as she loaded the washing machine.
"No, I'm not gonna be mad and I'm just nervous so I need to stay busy," she answered.
"Evaline, you have no reason to be nervous," he told her, "My parents love you and we're barely even going to see them tonight since they're coming in on the red eye. You'll be lucky if you're even able to stay awake that long," he reminded her.
"I know, but that's more reason to make sure everything is in order," she insisted, "You go to the gym. Have fun and let me do this up here," she told him, turning to give him a quick kiss before switching the washing machine on.
Running his hand down her hair Rudy turned her around to face him completely before kissing her long and hard, "I'll see you later. Please stop stressing it's not good for you or Bean," he told her, before kissing her one last time and leaving the apartment.
Sighing, Evaline smiled before hurrying to her room. Pulling the drawing she'd done for Rudy's birthday out of it's hiding spot along with a frame; she quickly matted and framed the drawing.
Grabbing the gift box she'd bought she placed the framed drawing inside before using the wrapping paper and confetti she'd gotten from the store to wrap his present.
Taking the wrapped present she shoved everything back under her bed to keep Rudy from seeing it before his birthday on Monday.
Glancing at the hamper she dragged it out to the laundry unit to wash their clothes when his sheets were done washing.
After dusting and vacuuming the apartment for the second time that day Evaline was in Rudy's room putting the sheets back on the bed when she heard the apartment door open and close and Rudy call her name.
"I was putting the sheets back on your bed," she called, walking out of the room, "By the way you'll be happy to know I got whatever that disgusting stain was on your shirt out. I swear you stain your clothes worse then a toddler," she said walking into the living room and stopping dead, "Oh," she breathed out, wide-eyed, "Hello," she greeted Rudy's laughing parents and brother.
"Look who decided to surprise us and take an earlier flight," Rudy said.
