Running his hand through his hair nervously, Rudy sighed before knocking on the door. Bracing himself he smiled when the door opened, "Hey," he greeted.
"Hey? I find you in the shower with my sister and all you have to say is 'hey'," Chase responded.
"Well what do you want me to say?" Rudy questioned. "Oh I don't know maybe how and when would be helpful," Chase replied, "I didn't think you guys were at that level yet."
Glancing around the hallway Rudy suggested they go inside, "As much as I love discussing my sex life with you I'd appreciate not doing it in the hallway," he snarked.
Letting him in the door Chase went back to the living room leaving Rudy to shut the apartment door and follow after him. "So just a few weeks ago you finally became a thing and now you're already sleeping together. I mean is she really ready for that?" Chase questioned.
"Dude, I'm not pressuring her into anything," Rudy assured him, "And you know better then anyone that girl doesn't do anything she doesn't want to," he reminded him.
"True," Chase conceded, "I'm just worried about her," he admitted.
"Do you think she lied to me about being okay?" Rudy questioned, concerned.
"No, no, I don't think she'd lie to you. If she said she was okay then she was okay," Chase told him, "She's just still not the Evaline I know. Don't get me wrong I see glimpses of her, but it's not the same."
"Maybe this is who she is now," Rudy replied, "I didn't know her before, but I know what showed up here four months ago and thankfully I don't see much of that girl anymore."
Drumming his fingers on the arm rest of the couch Chase studied Rudy, "Can I ask you something? Are you serious about this with her?" he asked, when Rudy nodded.
"Why wouldn't I be?" he asked.
"She's about to have a kid, Man. You're gonna be 21. Are you ready for that kind of commitment with a kid involved?" Chase questioned.
"You sound like Evaline," Rudy said, rolling his eyes, "Obviously the two of you have been bonding while discussing my future."
"It's been a little while since I talked to her about it, but she had a valid argument. Obviously something has changed in her mind, but I know why she was hesitant to involve you in her life. I just want to make sure you understand what you're getting into," Chase responded.
"I know exactly what I'm getting into. From the first moment I heard that babies heartbeat I knew what I was getting into. I want to be in their life and I don't know what changed in her mind, but hopefully she's finally understanding that," Rudy told him.
"Alright. Well I wish you luck because as different as she is she's still a stubborn brat. Hope you can handle her," Chase told him, laughing.
"She makes me happy, Man, so I think I'm gonna take my chances," Rudy replied.
Nodding Chase stood up, "Okay well let's get down to the gym. You can fill me in on how you went from 'it's a thing' to what I walked into this morning," he said heading for the door.
"So you guys have been sharing a bed for weeks?" Chase questioned as the two boys walked into the gym in their apartment building.
"Yeah their was a storm that freaked her out the first night and then every night after that she'd wake up and come into my room in the middle of the night. One night I finally told her to just get in the bed from the start because I was tired of her waking me up," Rudy told him as they approached Drew and Austin lifting weights together.
