By the time the girls made their way back to the front of the room Annabeth had settled herself next to Rudy while her sisters, Cassidy and Trinity had moved to talk with Chase. Clearing her throat Evaline spoke up, "Annabeth, you're in my seat."

Turning her cousin glared at her before zeroing in on her pregnant stomach.  Laughing Annabeth looked her up and down, "Well if it's not the little ice princess herself.  Returning to us all damaged.  I'd heard you ran away in shame," Annabeth said, standing to face Evaline.

"Excuse me?" Madison hissed from next to her while both Chase and Rudy stood up, "Hey."  As Cassidy stepped around the boys to stand next to Annabeth hissing her name, "There's no reason for that," Cassidy told her sister.

"It's okay guys.  Bethie never knew when to keep her mouth shut.  You know it's been a few years and it still doesn't look like you got that broken nose fixed," Evaline responded.

"You think  I won't hit a pregnant bitch?" Annabeth questioned stepping closer.  The movement of both Madison and Rudy standing between the cousins must've caught her grandfather's eye as he stepped over to the small group.

"I don't know what is happening over here, but this is not the place for it," he told all of them sternly.  With one final glare at Evaline Annabeth turned away and stomped up to the casket with her mother, "Sorry Eva," Cassidy muttered, before following her sister.

"If she doesn't stop her caterwauling," her grandfather mumbled before walking away to join the group at the casket.  "You good?" Madison asked before going to sit down after Evaline nodded.  Wrapping his arm around her Evaline tucked herself into Rudy's side, "You weren't joking about crazy," he muttered in her ear causing her to laugh.

As Chase sat down Evaline noticed Trinity still standing where she'd been at the start of the confrontation.  Clearing her throat Trinity stepped closer giving Evaline a small smile, "I just wanted to say sorry about Aunt Grace and um....Nana told us what happened to you," she said glancing at Evaline's stomach, "Annabeth shouldn't have said what she did."

"Well Annabeth's a bitch, so...." Evaline trailed off shrugging causing Trinity to smile wider.  "How far along are you?" Trinity asked.  "Thirty weeks.  I'm due on Christmas," Evaline answered.

"Christmas?!" cried a voice from behind Rudy and Evaline, "Oh Gracie loved the holidays she would've been so happy had she known about her grandchild."

Rolling her eyes Evaline and Rudy turned to face her Aunt Stacie.  Glancing behind her aunt Evaline saw her grandmother and Jen talking with Annabeth and Cassidy while her dad was talking to her grandfather.  She was on her own.

Sighing she gave her aunt a fake smile, "Hello Aunt Stacie."

"Oh dear little Eva," she cried, "It makes me so happy that you've finally come back to the family, but it's just so tragic that it had to be because of your mother's, my sister's, funeral."  Feeling Rudy's arm tighten around her Evaline nodded, "Yeah, well I guess that's what happens when you choose drugs over your kid."
