"Rudy, I love the fact that you slept here again last night, but I want you to go home tonight and get a good night's sleep.  We get to bring her home tomorrow and one of us needs to not be tired," Evaline told the stubborn boy.

"I don't like leaving you," he whined from where he lay on her hospital bed with her.

"She's right, Son," Mark spoke up from where he was pacing with Cara in his arms, "Once you bring this one home neither one of you will be getting much sleep."

"Fine, but I'll be back first thing in the morning.  Steph told me I can come and go at anytime of the day," he reminded her.

"How come he gets that privilege?" Chase questioned from where he, Maddie, and Madison sat on the other bed in the room.

"Cuz I'm the boyfriend," Rudy responded at the same time Madison said, "He's the dad."

"That too," Rudy said snapping his fingers and pointing to Madison.

"Uh oh I think little miss made a mess," Mark said as he walked the baby over to where Jen sat in the side chair.  "Oh yeah," she agreed, when he held Cara up for her to smell.

Noticing Evaline leaning on Rudy with her eyes closed Maddie jumped off the other bed, "I'll do it.  I think mama is resting her eyes," she said pointing to Evaline before pulling a diaper and wipes out of the bassinet.
