The storm Jonas had been watching hit on Friday effectively canceling production for the day. "We don't have to go anywhere do we?" Evaline questioned as she watched the rain come down from the balcony doors.
"No, it's why I insisted on going to the store last night," Rudy answered from the couch as he flipped through the channels. "How big is this storm going to be?" she asked, still watching the rain.
"From what I saw on the news this morning the heavy shit is coming in tonight and it's going to move out by tomorrow afternoon," he answered. "So.....when you say heavy what does that mean?" Evaline asked, wrapping her cardigan around herself tighter.
Glancing over at her Rudy asked if she was okay. Turning from the door Evaline nodded, "Yeah I just don't like storms," she told him. "The news said it's supposed to be bad overnight so you should sleep right through it," he assured her.
"Why don't you join me over here and we'll watch a movie," he invited.
"Hold on," Evaline told him before hurrying down the hall to her room. Grabbing her comforter she drug it back to the living room, "If we're going to veg out on the couch we've gotta do it right," she told him, throwing the comforter over them both.
"What do you want to watch?" he asked, wrapping his arm around her as she leaned against him. "You pick first," she told him, "I've got something in mind for later you're probably going to hate so feel free to watch what you want right now," she told him, giggling.
Pausing his search he glanced down at her, "What are you going to make me watch now?" he questioned. Smiling up at him she laughed, "You'll see."
Halfway through the movie Rudy picked the doorbell rang, "Oh thank God," Evaline cried, "I'll get it. Any more of this and my eyes are going to bleed," she said jumping up from the couch to go answer the door.
Hearing him laughing as she went to answer the door Evaline shook her head as she threw open the door to find Elaine and Maddie completely soaked, "What the hell are you two doing?" Evaline asked the dripping girls.
"We're playing in the rain," Elaine laughed. "Yeah come play with us," Maddie requested, clapping her hands excitedly. "You guys are insane," Evaline laughed.
"Come on Chase, Austin, and Drew are already down there," Elaine told her. "We came to get you two. Where's Rudy? Rudy!" Maddie yelled into the apartment. "I heard you. The apartment isn't that big," Rudy said from behind Evaline.
"Shall we go play in the rain, Pretty Girl?" he asked, holding out his hand. Smiling, she took his hand, "Let's go," she answered, slipping on her flip flops.
