Hearing her alarm Evaline groaned as she reached out for her cell phone on the nightstand, "Shut up," she grumbled.  "Why is that set?" Rudy muttered from behind her.  Turning to look at the sleepy boy behind her Evaline smiled, "I need time to make your cake," she whispered, "Go back to sleep, Birthday Boy," she told him, kissing him, before moving to get up.

Groaning Rudy reached out grabbing her by the back of her shirt, "Don't go," he whined.  Laughing Evaline untangled his fingers from her shirt, "Chase is probably waiting on me," she reminded him, kissing his hand.

"Why do you have to go all the way up there?" he continued to whine.  "I already told you Chase said I could use his kitchen while he's at work so I don't wake up your family. Geez, you turn a year older and you become a big baby," she laughed, "Go back to sleep and I'll be back before you know it," she told him, moving off the bed.

Moaning Rudy hugged her pillow, flipped over, and went back to sleep.

Smiling at the boy Evaline put her flip flops on and made her way quietly out of the apartment.

Knocking on Chase's door she waited for him to let her in.  Swinging the door open he blinked tiredly at her, "You're early," he stated before walking back towards the kitchen.

Closing the door behind her Evaline followed him, "Did you get everything on my list?" she asked.  Pointing to the bags on the counter Chase scrubbed his hands down his face letting out a yawn.

"What time do you need to leave?" she asked.  Glancing at his phone he told her he had around 30 minutes.  "You want some eggs?" she asked.  "Yeah, why not," he answered, shrugging.

Flipping his eggs onto a plate Evaline added some toast before setting the plate in front of him along with a glass of orange juice.  "Thanks," he told her, "Now you wanna tell me what's up?" he asked.

Drumming her fingers on the counter Evaline chewed on the inside of her cheek as she looked at Chase.  "Rudy thinks he loves me," she blurted out.

Choking on the orange juice he'd just swallowed Chase pounded on his chest, "Did he tell you that?" he questioned.

"No, I overheard him talking to his brother but his mother basically told me she thinks he does too," she replied.

Furrowing his brow Chase shrugged, "So the guy loves you.  It's not like you've never had a boyfriend tell you that.  What's the big deal?"

Sighing Evaline rubbed her stomach, "Because it's not just me I need to think about," she answered.

"Evaline, you're not your mom and Rudy isn't your dad.  Just because it didn't work with them doesn't mean it wouldn't work out for you guys," he told her.

"But how can you know that?  I mean you moved clear across the country with Xiomara and then broke up.  He's asking me to do the same thing, but I have her to think about.  What happens if we break up?" she questioned.
