When Y/N woke up she knew something was wrong. She slid out of bed where Hawks was sound asleep next to her and look through the cabin.

There was no Dabi.

Y/N looked at the time and cursed. They must've been asleep for eight hours and Dabi still wasn't back. She ran to the bedroom and shook Hawks awake.

"W-what?" Hawks said groggily, wiping at his eyes. "What's wrong, sunflower?"

"Dabi is still gone. He said he would be back by now." Y/N said quickly. "Either he's stuck in the snow somewhere or he was taken by that Collector guy and I don't know which is worse."

"Collector, for sure," Hawks sat up and stretched his wings while wiping at his eyes still.

"Keigo!"

"It's okay, baby. Hand me my bag, will you?" Hawks asked and Y/N complied. "Toya and I have these satellite phones to contact each other. The ringer is loud as hell and would've woken us up." He trailed off as he unlocked the phone and stared at the screen.

"What is it?" Y/N asked, placing her hand on his arm. "Keigo, what is it?"

"Coordinates." His voice was monotoned as he showed her the screen then got out of bed quickly.

"Why would Dabi send you coordinates and not just call you?" Y/N questioned as she watched the hero get dressed.

"Because he didn't send them. Someone else did." Hawks pulled his pants up and putting his shoes on. "You stay here and if I'm not back in five hours, you get the fuck out of here and go to my agency."

"Absolutely not." Y/N shook her head. "Fuck no, Keigo, I'm not leaving you. You're taking me with you."

"Kid, this is not a debate." Y/N stood in front of Hawks, grabbing the front of his jacket. His honey-colored eyes burned into hers.

"No." Her knuckles went white she was gripping his jacket so tightly. "Keigo, please don't do this. Not when I just got you."

Hawks placed his hands on the sides of her face and lightly brushed his thumbs over her cheeks. "Baby bird, you're not going to get rid of me just yet." He placed his forehead on hers, closing his eyes.

"Keigo, you're taking me with you." Y/N felt her throat closing up. "Don't do this to me, I can handle my own. You saw me when I was being chased--"

"What I saw was you running for your life and breaking down in my arms afterward." Hawks replied.

"You're taking you with me or I'm going on my own when you don't come back. It's up to you, birdbrains." Y/N crossed her arms over her chest and stepped away. Hawks groaned and ran his hands through his hair, knowing that she wasn't bluffing.

"Goddamn, you are so difficult."

"It's just because I care about you so much," Y/N smiled at the glare on Hawks' face and kissed him. "Now, let's go save our friend."

"You're lucky you're so fucking cute," he grumbled and kissed her back. "Now, let's head out, kid."

They had dressed for the weather and went outside into the snow. Hawks held Y/N's hand as they walked through the woods.

"Whatever happens here, kid, you need to look out for yourself. Not me or Toya...yourself." Hawks looked straight ahead as he spoke. "Got it?"

"Yeah," Y/N leaned more into Hawks as they walked. "Let's just make sure it doesn't come to that."

Hawks didn't reply as he looked at the coordinates. "Alright, we should probably fly if we want to get to Toya as soon as possible." He opened his arms and grinned lightly.

Y/N rolled her eyes and stepped into his arms as he picked her up. "Don't drop me, bird brains."

"I wouldn't dream of it."
