"No, no, no,"' Hawks shook his head, deploying his feathers so that one stabbed the Collector's hand with the gun, then jerked him to the side so he flew into the wall. "We don't have time for evil villain speeches, thanks."
Y/N and Hawks ran out of the boiler room dragging Dabi between them. They were heading straight for the window when Hawks yelled to Y/N.
"Shoot the window! Shoot the window!"
Y/N did so without hesitation, then tossed the gun to the side as the bullets shattered the window. The explosion was set off, the heat and pressure from it made the trio fly out the window at an ungodly speed.
They all landed in the deep snow next to each other, Dabi finally coming to his senses from the explosion.
"How--how did we get here?" Dabi sat up, looking at his friend groggily. "I feel like I missed out on a lot."
"I'm just glad you aren't having a panic attack anymore," Y/N threw her arms around her friend in a hug, who yelled in disgust. "I'm glad you're alive, buddy."
"Oh god, get it off. Get it off!" Dabi yelled, prying Y/N off of him as they all stood. "Now, I just want to go back to the cabin and get into some warm clothes and go the fuck to bed. And if anyone tries to stop me, so help me god."
Hawks pulled Y/N into his side and nodded to his friend, clapping his shoulder. "Glad to see you back, Toya."
"Yeah, yeah, big bird." Dabi waved him off. "You two look like shit as well so we should--Y/N, is that blood you're covered in?"
"I killed two men with the debris of a chair," Y/N explained casually. "I would rather suppress that memory for now."
"Fair enough." Dabi looked around. "You two stay here, I'll go hotwire a car so we can go home."
Before they could say anything, Dabi walked off, his hands in his pockets. Hawks hugged Y/N tightly to him, breathing in her scent he had missed so much.
"I love you, sunflower."
"I love you, too, bird brains." Y/N kissed Hawks gently and lovingly. "I believe I have a promise to uphold?"
Hawks grinned down at her. "You did say I could do whatever I wanted to you."
"What are you gonna do, songbird?" Y/N hummed, interlocking her fingers behind his neck.
Hawks looked at Y/N for a long time, a look in his eyes that Y/N couldn't pick up on. "You said I could do anything?"
"Ooh, you got something kinky in mind?" Y/N smiled seductively. "Maybe we should come up with a safe word."
Hawks' burning amber eyes stared down at her with determination.
"I want to marry you, Y/N."
The breath was sucked out of Y/N's lungs and her eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. This is not what she expected at all.
"What felt like years of hell, the only person I wanted was you. I know that I will never love anyone the way I love you." Y/N wondered if she was still tripping balls back in her cell. "The entire time I was in that cell I didn't know where you were or if you were even alive. Every single moment I cursed myself for not telling you how much I loved you and that I couldn't marry you."
Y/N had placed a hand over her mouth and stared up at the hero she loved so much.
"I knew the second I saw you on that roof that you were going to change my life forever. I want you as my wife, my forever partner." Hawks took Y/N's hands in his own. "So will you marry this workaholic, semi-corrupted number two hero that would murder a small army for you?"
Y/N smiled widely.
"Of course I'll marry you, bird brains."
