Walking down the hall, you made conversation with your two best friends. For once after a long while, there were no interruptions, no guys trying to get in their way. You were just with them, and that's how they liked it. That was until you began bringing up Dabi, the man Mirio and Tamaki despised.

"Yeah, Dabi wants to go to that mall you guys took me to that one time. Apparently, he really wants to try these pretzels at the food court. He's such a weirdo sometimes." You muttered with a little smile.

"Yeah, I'll say," Mirio muttered under his breath, giving Tamaki a little nudge and clearing his throat, letting him know it was time to give you the talk they had planned.

"(Y/n), t-there's something we- I have wanted to talk to you about." Tamaki started. You stopped walking, turning to face him as you stood in front of your locker. "Yeah?"

He took your hands, exhaling softly before speaking. "I-It's about Dabi. I just- I don't think you should be hanging out with him as much. Ever since he's b-been here, you've been acting like you don't want to hang out with us. Like you don't want to hang out with me. T-that's not true r-right? A-and I hate to say this, but there's something sort of sketchy about him. Something that's not right. We just want to keep you safe-"

"I can't believe you're doing this right now."
You pulled your hands away from his, stepping back and looking at Tamaki with anger and disgust. Never had you gotten so angry with him, it made him sad, desperate, even a little scared.

"W-what do you mean?"

"You know exactly what I mean, Tamaki. Don't play dumb. Dabi's my friend. I've known him ever since I was little. So you guys can't come along and act like you know him better than I do and act like you know what's good for me. I'm my own person. I make my own decisions and mistakes. You guys aren't responsible for me, I am. So stop guilt-tripping me and figure it out." You told them, turning on your heel and walking away from the two.

Before you could take another step further, Mirio grabbed your wrist, pulling you back. His grip wasn't painful, but it had enough pressure to alarm you. "So you think you know Dabi, huh? Do you even know what his job is? How sketchy it might be? Has he ever told you?"

"Let me go!" You squirmed under his grip, managing to snag your wrist from his hand. His blue eyes glared down at you, and for once, he wasn't smiling. Well, you supposed there was a first time for everything, and seeing Mirio this mad was quite terrifying.

You took a step back, beginning to leave before a teacher intervened. They must have seen what had happened between you three. "Is everything okay over here?"

"It's fine." You muttered, pushing past the group, and disappearing into the mobs of students that were walking from class to class.

You sighed, scrolling through your phone. There was no way you could focus in class right now. Not with everything that was happening. All you wanted was for your three best friends to get along, but currently, that seemed like it would never happen.

Still failing to entertain yourself, you went to shut off your phone, glancing at your notifications before you did so.

I'll text them later. I'm not in the mood to talk right now.

But that didn't stop your curiosity. So you briefly looked over Mirio's texts, reading the last two things he sent.
