You jolted up in your bed, panting softly, and clutching your sheets tightly. After studying your surroundings and remembering where you were, (still at Tamaki's house) you took a deep breath, calming yourself.
It was yet another bad dream. How long had you been out this time? Looking out the window, you spotted the sun hanging low in the sky. Late afternoon, maybe early evening? It was hard to tell.
Sighing, you draped your legs over the side of the bed, moving the blanket off. While your dreams weren't pleasant, it did feel refreshing to get some sort of sleep. "Tamaki? Mirio?"
You called out, but there was no response. The house was still, quiet. And you were all alone. Where were they?
You continued looking for them, searching around the house, before walking into the kitchen. On the table, there was a note.
We're both out at practice, and Eri's watching Tamaki's. Be back home soon, probably around eight - Tamaki and Mirio
You smiled down at the note, spotting the little heart symbol scribbled on the side. God, you loved them. You couldn't wait to show them how thankful you were to have them. They were always there for you. They always cared and watched over you, when you needed them the most, and you couldn't be more grateful.
But it seemed like you would have to wait because when you looked over at the clock it only said it was seven-fifteen.
So, you grabbed a bag of chips and walked back upstairs, deciding to spend your time waiting by hiding under a huge pile of blankets, binging on snacks, and going on your phone.
It wasn't long before you heard a vehicle pull into the driveway, rushing over to the window to see them. But it wasn't. It was an unfamiliar car, parked right in the driveway.
Confused, you looked down at your phone. It was only 8:30.
And then, you saw who left the car, and you felt as if you couldn't breathe. It was him. Kai Chisaki. Or as his men and other yakuza call him, Overhaul.
"No. No, no, no, no." You mumbled under your breath, pacing around and calling Tamaki and Mirio. You couldn't lock the door, then he would see you.
Hearing them approach the door, you swore under your breath, ending the call and shooting your lovers a text.
(Y/N): Ex-Boyfriend is here. Bad things are going to happen. Get home soon.
Turning off your ringer, you put your phone in your pocket, rushing over to Tamaki's parents' room, and hiding in their walk-in closet.
You felt your heart began to race, letting out shaky breaths as you heard the voices downstairs. Your whole body was trembling right now, and you didn't dare to move a muscle.
"I don't care. Search the whole house if you have to. We're going to find her." You heard a muffled voice order, followed by footsteps spreading all over the house.
After a few minutes, the footsteps were going up the stairs and moving through the rooms. You heard some enter the bedroom you were in, going into the bathroom, and eventually, the closet.
You felt your breath hitch, slinking back to the darkest corner behind some clothes, keeping a trembling hand over your mouth to keep yourself quiet. You watched as a pair of legs walked over to the end of the closet, stopping for a moment, but then turning back and leaving.
Letting out a small sigh of relief, you listened closely to the voices in the other room. "I don't think she's here. Maybe we should just leave."
This was it. You were safe. Well, that was until your phone started vibrating from Tamaki calling you.
Fuck. You completely forgot to shut your phone off!
Struggling to cancel the call, you heard rushing footsteps going straight for the door. You managed to get there first, locking it so they couldn't get in. You leaned against the door, using your body weight to keep them from getting in, just in case they tried breaking through.
"My dear (y/n), we finally meet again. I'd told you I'd come back." Hearing his voice was enough to make you nauseous, and you felt your body begin to shake more violently.
"Open the door, won't you? I want to see that pretty face. I want to see how much you've grown." He told you.
"Go away." Is all you manage to say back, your voice quiet and shaky, yet clear.
"Oh, that's right. You got two new boyfriends. Tamaki Amijiki and Mirio Togata, isn't it?"
"Leave them out of this!" You snapped protectively.
You'd never be able to talk to Kai like this if you were still with him. You would still be the same old submissive, shell of a girl he wanted you to be. His plaything. His toy. But that's not who you were anymore.
You had grown stronger, thanks to them. Thanks to all the shit that has happened to you. You weren't that demure shy girl anymore, no. You were who you truly wanted to be. A fighter. And you were going to fight, alright.
"But I'm afraid it's too late for that. They need to know that you're mine. Always have been, and always will be." You felt your stomach churn at his possessiveness, something you once found cute, that you now hated.
"I-I'm not yours. Not anymore." You stuttered out defiantly. "If you try anything, I'll call the police and have you arrested."
"Don't you remember last time? That won't work. You know how good my lawyers are. Something like this would only be a simple breaking and entering charge, some time, maybe even a release on bail, and I'll be back to get you." He hissed poisonously.
"Now let me in." The doorknob began to twist and giggle, and you did your best to resist, keeping your back against it.
"No!" You felt a strong force slam against it, pushing the door forward, making it hit your back, and causing you to fall. You groaned in pain, sitting on your knees as all your strength and courage began to disappear.
Tears of fear and panic beginning to well up in your eyes, as you turned around and got to your feet, watching the door lurch forward, eventually slamming open. You pressed yourself to the back of the closet, closing your eyes, and hugging your knees to your chest.
Right as the door opened, you heard another one slam, then hearing Tamaki and Mirio's voices. The rest that happened was a blur, all you could hear was some shuffling and fighting, followed by grunts and groans, some gunshots, and then it was all over.
You jumped when you felt a hand touch your shoulder, fearing the worst. Your eyes shot open to reveal Tamaki, looking quite beaten and bruised with a reassuring smile on his face. "It's okay, (y/n). We're here. You're safe."
"W-what happened?" You asked, leaning into Tamaki.
"If you fuckers even do as much go near (y/n), I'll kill all of you!" You heard Mirio shout, watching the yakuza members retreat, some holding their sides as if they were wounded.
"We got your text and Mirio had a few 'friends' come and help," Tamaki explained, gesturing to the delinquents who were now in your house, panting as if they had just fought some big battle.
But it didn't matter. What mattered was that it was all over. For now. "C'mon, let's go rest."
