Tamaki sat in the car, watching as the sun set in the distance, painting the clouds a pretty pink, and the night sky moving in, stars scattered all over. The full moon was out tonight, shining down on them, making what they were about to do a whole lot creepier.

For the past couple of weeks, he and Mirio had been surveilling you, following your schedule, and finding the perfect time for when they could do this. And no other time seemed better than now.

Ever since Tamaki had heard the idea, he couldn't get it out of his head. Mirio had never seen him so eager and so excited before. Tamaki had gotten impatient, begging him to do this for weeks and weeks, and now they were here, actually doing it.

"Tamaki, you ready? Her mom just left the house." Mirio said, snapping him out of his thoughts. "We don't have much time, (y/n) will be home in about an hour or so. If we want to do this, we have to do it now."

"Got it." Tamaki nodded, unbuckling his belt hurriedly, Mirio already waiting for him outside.

Inside it seemed like your average home, a little messy, but organized in some places. Mirio picked up a photo of you smiling with who he assumed was your mother and father.

There was something about your smile that seemed different in that picture. It seemed more happy, more real. Taking a mental note of that, he followed Tamaki to your room.

It was a little cluttered, magazines, books, and trash scattered all over the place. Man, you really needed to clean up. But it's not like you had much time to do anything like that, with school, a little sister to take care of and a job, you seemed pretty occupied.

Tamaki collapsed onto your bed, grabbing the comforter underneath him, and then the pillow. Everything was even softer than he imagined. And the scent, he got a good whiff of your pillow, inhaling your sweet intoxicating perfume. Tamaki felt like he was in complete bliss.

After a minute or two, he let go, looking over at Mirio who was still looking around. "S-so, what now?"

"The road ahead with (y/n) is going to be a long, rough, and bumpy one. We should get something to incentivize ourselves for the ride!" Mirio grinned. He looked around, searching for things he would want that you wouldn't even notice was missing.

Then, he saw it. A collection of stuffed animals hiding in your closet next to a few old dresses. How cute.

Picking up a small round ducky plushie, Mirio held it close to his chest, chuckling softly. He grabbed a teddybear, tossing it to Tamaki, who was going through the drawers in your dresser.

Seeing all he needed to, Mirio exited the room, leaving Tamaki by himself. Tamaki pulled out one of your older shirts, wrapping the stuffy with it and putting all your belongings which he was taking together. He walked over to your desk, seeing a few stray unfinished worksheets, some pens and pencils, a few pop figurines, and a small box.

On the box was a little post-it note, that with Eri's name scribbled on it, a small heart in the corner.

When Tamaki opened it, a bright melody started to play, and the little ballerina in the middle of the box spun around in small circles along with the music. It seemed a little old and fragile, the ballerina's movements occasionally stopping or jerking violently, and the music sometimes going out of tune.

A gasp from down the hall alerted Tamaki, making him close the box and rush out to see what was happening.

"I didn't know (y/n) had a cat! It's so cute!" Mirio exclaimed, picking up the round tangerine-colored feline. It mewled in surprise, while Mirio turned the kitten to face him, holding it up above his head a little.

"Mirio, I don't think it likes-" Before Tamaki could finish the sentence, the cat hissed, striking and scratching his face. Dropping Pumpkin, Mirio grabbed at his face in pain, the new scratches bleeding out a little. Going to help Mirio, Tamaki noticed something out of the corner of his eye. Your Mother's car, pulling into the driveway. "Oh no. S-she's here!"

"W-we have to go, she's going to catch us!" Tamaki panicked, feeling his heart leap out of his chest. Oh god. He and Mirio were going to get caught. They were going to go to jail and they'd never be able to see you again!

Mirio grabbed Tamaki's shoulders softly, bending down so he was eye level with him. "Listen to me Tamaki, it's all going to be okay. We put everything back where it needed to be, right? All we need to do is lock the door and leave through the window, and we'll be fine."

Calming down, Tamaki nodded, quickly going to lock the door. Mirio opened the window to the guest bedroom, hopping out. The fall wasn't that far, about half a story or so, and Mirio seemed to be fine, landing right on his feet.

The door unlocking made Tamaki freeze, stopping him dead in his tracks. He couldn't do this. It was all too much. He couldn't take it.

"Tamaki, jump!" Mirio whisper-shouted to him.

"I-I can't," Tamaki replied, his feet feeling like they were glued to the ground.

"Yes, you can! Trust me! I'll catch you!"

I can do this. For (y/n).

Shutting the window behind him, Tamaki dropped out of the window. He squeezed his eyes shut, preparing for the impact that never came. Instead, he fell into strong arms, trapping him into a secure grip.

Tamaki blushed, realizing how tightly Mirio was holding him, and how safe he felt in his arms. "T-thanks Mirio."

"No problem. Now let's get out of here."

--

You sighed, resting your chin on your hand. You still had a solid three hours to go before you finished your shift.

"(Y/n) you're on break, go relax. And whatever you do, don't talk to Shigaraki." Your boss said, gesturing to the scraggly blue-haired male who was sitting alone in the corner of the restaurant, playing on some random game console.

"Um, why?" You asked. He seemed generally harmless.

"The kid's got a bad track record. He went to juvie three times and he even went to jail. Just stay away from that freak, okay? For your own safety. Normally, he usually takes the day shift, but his schedule changed, so you might have to deal with him for a while." He told you. You nodded, letting the man walk off.

You went to walk away, but a part of you felt like you should stay. Maybe it was how you were raised, but you always saw  the good in people. You refused to believe that anyone was evil down to their core. They were just misunderstood or mistreated. And you wanted to help them. Just like you wanted to help Shigaraki right now.

After all, what was the harm in wanting to help someone who had lost their way?

So, when no one else was looking, you went and took a seat next to Shigaraki.

"What're you playing?"

You seemed to catch him off guard, making him jump in his seat. He scratched his neck, groaning in annoyance andpausing his game. "What do you want?"

"To talk."

"Can't you see I'm busy here?" He asked, still extremely annoyed.

"That's okay if you don't wanna talk, but I thought you could use the company." You said, the smile never leaving your face.

Feeling his heart throb, he still forced the frown on his lips. No one had ever been this nice to him or even wanted to be near him. What was up with you? Why were you being so nice?

Little did you know, you were playing with fire, and your decision to sit with Shigaraki would not only be life-changing for you, but for others as well.

(A/N: Y'all know I had to have some miritama time in there lol
