A few days had passed since Nejire's death, and you were barely able to process it. She had committed suicide, sending you a text apologizing for everything she's done, telling you how much you meant to her, how she was in love with you, and how she couldn't take holding these feelings in anymore, especially since she knew you didn't feel the same way.
But you never saw that text, since you had blocked her, after the last conversation you had at the cafe. And you felt horrible. Maybe if you didn't block her, if you gave her one last chance, you would've been able to stop it.
Mirio and Tamaki said that there was nothing you could've done, that she was always struggling since before you met her. Apparently, when they were friends with her, they noticed her acting like this. Sort of off, and always trying to prove herself, and convince herself that she was something she wasn't.
It did make sense, how she treated you, taking out all her anger, pain, suffering, and jealousy on you, but there was one thing you didn't understand.
If she was like this and Mirio and Tamaki knew about it, then why didn't they do anything? Why didn't they tell anyone? Why didn't they want to be friends with her anymore? Why did they just abandon her?
You had so many questions, so many things you wanted to say, but you didn't have it in you. You couldn't bring yourself to do it. So instead, you've spent the past days and nights tossing and turning, crying and regretting, while your two lovers did their best to comfort you. You even stayed at Tamaki's place again.
"We have to go, okay? There's a meeting at school. But we'll see you later. Text us if you need anything." Mirio told you, pressing a kiss to your forehead, and slipping out of the bedroom, Tamaki following close behind.
They had been in and out of school events for the past couple of days. It didn't exactly surprise you, they were a part of The Big three after all. They were role models for the whole school to follow after, and so was Nejire, so of course they had to help clean this whole mess up.
You laid in bed for quite a while, staring blankly at the ceiling and rethinking everything, before finally getting out and getting up for the day. It was about noon, the sun peering through the windows and lighting all the rooms up.
You walked over to the kitchen, looking for something to eat, passing by Eri, who was playing in the living room. There wasn't much in the refrigerator, so you just grabbed an apple, taking a bite out of it, and going back to her.
"Are you feeling better?" Eri asked, glancing over at you while continuing to mess around with her toys.
"I'm getting there. What are you playing with?" You replied, crouching down beside her.
"Just this block set. I can't find the other pieces, I gave it to Tamaki when I had to clean it up, and I can't find it." She told you with a small frown on her face.
You could use a distraction, and you figured this was it, so you got to your feet, turning to search go for it. "I'll go look. You stay right here, okay?"
Going from closet to closet, you searched all of them, unable to find the pieces. You put your hands on your hips, letting out a small huff of frustration. Nothing.
Then, you remembered the closet in Tamaki's room. You never checked there, in fact, you hadn't been there before. Maybe you could explore a little.
So, you walked up the stairs to Tamaki's room, going inside and going through his closet. Most of it was just clothes and some other useless stuff. You reached up, on the top shelf, feeling around for something, but once again, there was nothing.
That was until you pulled away, accidentally knocking a box out onto the floor, making its contents spill all over the place.
"Shit." You muttered, kneeling to pick it all up. There were photos, Polaroids, and you were unsure of what they were of.
Bringing the picture close to your face, you studied it closely, realizing that it was a picture of you.
There were multiple photos, of you doing daily activities such as eating and hanging around, but worst of all, there were ones of you changing. A sick feeling twisted in your gut, and you looked through the box, seeing the other contents of it.
You knew you should drop the box, you knew you should go and take Eri and get as far away as you can from them, but it felt like a car crash, and you just couldn't look away. You had to push through.
So, you did, finding an old t-shirt and a teddy bear you had that went missing months ago. If only got worse from there, when you found Shigaraki, Touya, and Nejire's phones, in the box.
"No, oh, no no no no no." You mumbled, stumbling backward and grabbing your mouth. You felt like you were going to be sick.
They killed Shigaraki and Dabi and Chisaki, and now, they must've killed Nejire. They stalked you. They took your things. They violated you. And Nejire was right. She was right all along. If only you had listened to her.
Knowing now wasn't the time to reflect, you composed yourself, getting it together, throwing the things in the box, and shoving it back onto the top shelf. You rushed down the stairs, hurrying over to Eri.
"Get your things, now. We're leaving." You told her urgently.
"What? What's happening?" She asked cluelessly. "I'll explain later, just start getting your stuff together, okay?"
The little girl nodded, collecting her belongings while you did the same, running a hand through your hair. You looked down at your phone, dialing 119, but just before you could press the green call button, you heard the doorknob jiggling, getting unlocked.
It was Tamaki and Mirio. "Fuck, fuck fuck fuck." You muttered under your breath, trying to pull yourself together and act like your normal self. But how could you, when you found out such horrible things about your lovers?
"We're back! How's everything?" Mirio greeted cheerfully. And god, how could he act so happy when he did such horrible things?
"It's fine, I just completely forgot that Eri has a doctor's appointment though, so we got to go." You plastered on a smile, even though you felt your heart pounding in your ears, trying to keep your body from trembling too much.
"Wait, d-don't you want us to take you? We can take Eri if you wan-"
"No! No, it's fine." You interrupted Tamaki, turning to the door. "We'll just go. C'mon, Eri."
She walked over to you, scared and confused about what was happening. Right as you could turn and grab the doorknob, you were stopped, by Mirio's hand on your shoulder. "(Y/n), you're shaking like a leaf. Just wait a second. What's going on?"
His eyes trailed down to your phone, seeing the keypad and what was dialed in your hand, realizing what you knew. "Tamaki, take Eri into the other room."
"But-"
"Just do it." He interrupted, and so Tamaki took Eri from you, and just before you could do anything, just before you could fight, Mirio grabbed you, and everything went dark.
