[TW: MENTIONS OF DEATH]
You leaned against the wall, watching as the popcorn began to pop in the microwave. You couldn't help but feel guilty that you didn't invite Tamaki and Mirio over, but then again, this was something only you and Dabi did. And he would be leaving soon, so you wanted to spend as much time with him as you could.
The last time you watched a movie in your home with a guy, you ended up kissing him. You sighed dreamily, reminiscing on how Tamaki's lips pressed against yours, how he moved so anxiously, yet so well. It had been a long time since you felt that good, since you felt so loved.
"Dollface, watch out, popcorn's gonna burn," Dabi called from the couch, snapping you out of your thoughts.
"Oh right, sorry." You pulled the bag out from the microwave, opening it and dumping it into a bowl.
Picking up the bowl, you walked over to the couch, sitting down beside Dabi. You were watching a horror movie that he chose. He always loved those shitty slashers, ones that would get you super paranoid, and after he would always scare you by jumping out at you and making you scream. Then you would either cry or hit him, and he would apologize and hug you.
"I'm surprised, you used to always get so distracted and the bag would come out so burnt, and the smell would still be there for weeks." He teased, wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
"Shut up, you've let the popcorn burn quite a few times too." You argued back, hitting him playfully.
Little did you know that you and Dabi weren't alone. Not at all. You were being watched by Mirio and Tamaki, from right outside your house in your backyard.
Both boys were practically seething, furious that this man was touching you so casually. Furious that you were letting some scum like him in your home, and forgave him so easily after you found out what he truly was. They were going to have to deal with this their own way, and when the time was right, they were going to kill this bastard.
You watched as one of the female character's throats was slit, the blood gushing out, squirming at the sight. "Ugh, I can't believe you like this stuff. It's horrifying."
You shoved your face into Dabi's shoulder, hiding from the sight like you always did when you were younger, being that same old scaredy-cat he came to love. He loved you so much, and he doubted he could control himself any longer. You looked up at him, smiling so brightly and-
He kissed you.
Almost immediately, you pulled away, pushing him off of you. "What the hell, Dabi?"
It was hard for him to process what just happened. How could he do something like that? Clearly, you weren't ready, but if he didn't do something now, he never would. But would you ever be ready for him? Would you ever love him back?
"Why did you just do that? What were you thinking?" You questioned, obviously angry and in shock from his sudden actions.
"I'm sorry, I just thought-"
"Toya, I'm seventeen. You're twenty. This obviously wouldn't work. Please, just go." This wasn't some fantasy or slow burn romance novel, no. This was real life, and it seemed that Dabi had to learn that the hard way.
"If you just let me explain-"
"Leave." You interrupted him. You had already given him enough chances, and this pushed everything over the edge.
"Fine." He muttered, walking up the stairs and exiting the house, slamming the door behind him.
With a long sigh, you ran your hands over your face, collapsing on the couch behind you as the movie continued playing in the background. God, why does stuff like this always happen to you?
--
Mirio and Tamaki watched proudly as you laid alone in your home. You didn't let him kiss you. Because you didn't love him. You only loved them. You were their good girl. No one else's but theirs and your reaction to Dabi further proved that.
"C'mon, let's go Tamaki. Now's our chance, we can follow after him." Mirio whispered to him, pulling the smaller male up to his feet. Quickly, the two turned away, silently following after Dabi.
"Damn it." He muttered, kicking a can in the way, both his hands stuffed into his pockets, walking down the empty street. He already messed up with the argument you two had the other day, and what just happened made everything worse.
How was he going to fix this? How could he make this up to you?
Before Dabi could think of anything else, Mirio and Tamaki came along, forcing him into an alleyway. Mirio managed to get on top of him, beating him and attempting to keep him still. But unlike Shigaraki, Dabi had more muscle to him and was almost as tall as Mirio, so he managed to overpower the teen, forcing him off and punching him in the face.
"You prick, I'll fucking kill you!" He shouted, wiping blood from his lip. Thank god it was late at night, and barely anyone was around, or else they would've been caught. But they had bigger problems to deal with, considering that Dabi was kicking the shit out of Mirio right now.
"Tamaki, help!" Mirio cried out, moving his arms over his face. The shorter boy jumped in, hitting Dabi in the back of the head with a brick and knocking him unconscious.
Tamaki gave the older man's body two angry kicks, glaring down at him. "That's for trying to steal (y/n), and that's for Mirio."
Mirio looked up at him in awe, brushing away the blood from the cuts on his face. "You saved me, Tamaki. Thank you."
That managed to make him go red, turning him from angry to a blushing babbling mess. "I-it's no big deal. L-let's j-just gets his body into the car."
After patching Mirio up and driving over into the woods, they took out Dabi's unconscious body from the trunk, tying him to a lawn chair and pouring gasoline all over him.
"A-are you sure you want to do it this way?" Tamaki asked hesitantly.
"I'm sure. We're doing him a favor by giving him such an amazing death. Now, hand me the matches." Giving him the box of matches, Tamaki watched as Mirio lit one, moving it down to the trail of gasoline they created.
The fire burned brightly, illuminating the dark forest, starting to engulf Dabi from his feet up, waking him from his slumber. The two watched silently as he panicked, screaming and swearing in pain as the fire slowly spread across his body.
They continued staring, watching the fire melt his skin, consuming him completely, his screams being silenced by the crackling flames. Dabi was all gone, and once again, they had you all to themselves.
But there was still something Tamaki wanted to do before they went back to you. Murder did tend to bond people, after all. And he wanted to finally tell Mirio how he felt.
"M-Mirio? There's something I want t-to say. I-I- I- uhm, u-uh I- l-l-lov- l-lo-" Why were confessions always so hard for him?
"I love you too," Mirio told him, pulling him into his arms, stroking his hair softly. "M-more than as a friend or a brother?"
"Of course. (Y/n) will always have a place in my heart, and so will you. You're my baby, my handsome Suneater. Now come on, let's take the remains and get out of here before someone sees."
(A/N: RIP Dabi and yayyy my bb boys
Also happy birthday Tamaki! I know I'm a day late but the chapter I just wrote a chapter that's considered...a "present" for him, and hopefully a "present" for you all (if yk what I mean 😉😉)
