A couple more weeks passed by, and you still hadn't seen Eri. You tried not to ask about her too much, but when you did, they wouldn't give you a clear answer. They just said you would see her soon.

They did tell you about how she was doing, how they got her to go to camps and go on play dates with her new friend Kota, and that she missed you very much, but you never saw her. Probably because they knew you would tell her, and they wouldn't want to hurt her either.

But some nights, you could swear you could hear her voice. Hear her talking. Hear her crying. Or maybe you were just going crazy from all of this. The only thing you could do at this point was pray you could see her and get her out of this mess.

--

Mirio sat next to you in bed, stroking a hair out of your face. You wrinkled your nose slightly, mumbling something under your breath. You were so cute, so beautiful.

If you were awake, you'd never let him get this close.  Throughout everything, he still loved you, and you would love him too. While your relationship with Mirio only seemed to worsen, your relationship with Tamaki seemed to be getting better. You were starting to trust him again, and even though you tried to deny it, you loved him.

Mirio just needed to gain your affections back. And he would, eventually. He learned the hard way that breaking you wouldn't work, even though it was something he should've known all along, considering how strong-willed and persistent you were.

So, now he has to win you back, the same way he got you in the first place. By treating you gently. By loving you, and caring for you. By being his..happier, goofy self.

"M-Mirio!" Tamaki called from downstairs, snapping him out of his thoughts. His voice sounded urgent and fearful, and Mirio didn't want him to wake you.

So, he left your room, trying not to make too much noise as he did so. Walking downstairs, he saw Tamaki, with a terrified look on his face. His boyfriend paced around the room, biting at his nails. Whatever just happened, it must've been really bad.

Mirio, moved his hand away from his mouth, holding it in an attempt of comforting him. "Tama, what's going on?"

"T-they want to talk to us, Mirio. We're so f-fucked. Oh god, oh god oh god-"

"Wait, slow down. Who wants to talk to us?" Mirio stopped him, putting his hands on his shoulders and bending down slightly, so the two could be at eye level.

"T-the police. They said they want to talk to us about Nejire, and t-they want us to make a statement. They told me to stop by the station later today. Mirio, what if they find out it wasn't a suicide? What if-"

"They won't, okay? This kind of thing is normal. Besides, I have a plan."

--

Shutting your door and locking it from the outside, Mirio let out a small sigh. "She should be out for the rest of the day at least. Those drugs will be kicking in thirty minutes or so. So even if she wakes up, she'll be knocked right back out."

"Do you think she'll be okay?" Tamaki asked worriedly. "You didn't give her too much, right?"

"She'll be fine, Tama. Just knocked out for a while. We need to focus on what's going to happen at the police office." The blonde replied as the two went to leave the house.

"Right." Tamaki nodded, taking a shaky breath as he got into the passenger seat of the car.

"Just go over what you say in your head, and no matter what, stay calm, okay? You got this, I promise." Mirio reassured him, pressing a kiss to his forehead.

--

"Hi, I'm Mirio, and we're here to see Detective Tsukauchi." He greeted the secretary.

She flashed a smile back at him, before typing something on her computer. "He'll be out in a minute. Why don't you two take a seat?"

The two went and sat back in the chairs, Tamaki bouncing his knee, fidgeting slightly as he waited.  When no one was looking, Mirio grabbed his hand, giving it a strong squeeze. "It's going to be okay. Just relax."

Mirio murmured into his ear, and just before anything else could be said, the door opened, making Mirio let him go. Out came a tall, brunette man. He looked plain, and not intimidating in the slightest. This would be easier than Mirio thought.

"Hey there guys, I'm Detective Tsukauchi. It's nice to meet you." He greeted, shaking both of their hands. "I'm just going to ask you a few questions, so, here, why don't you follow me inside?"

The detective motioned for Mirio to follow him. "Oh, just me? I thought you were going to interview us together."

"No, I'm questioning you two separately. It's just some dumb formality we have cases like this. Nothing to worry about." He replied.

Now that could be a problem, but Mirio knew to stay calm. That's all he had to do in these situations, and he knew he would be fine. Just stay calm.

--

"So, I heard you and Tamaki were good friends with Nejire." Tsukauchi said as he took a seat across from Mirio.

"We were, but we started getting distant this past year. I feel terrible about the whole thing. I keep on thinking 'If only I had been there for her, this could've been prevented,' you know?" He replied with a soft sigh.

"I truly am sorry for your loss, Mirio. Why did you start getting distant?" He asked, clicking his pen and flipping open his notebook.

"Well, we started hanging out with this new girl, (y/n) more. At first, we were just helping her get used to the school, but then we got really close. I guess she didn't like that." Mirio admitted.

The detective nodded, jotting something down. Mirio watched him. "I just thought we were here to make a statement."

"You are, but the case isn't completely closed. If I'm being off the record with you, Nejire's parents believe she was murdered, and an autopsy did reveal some anomalies, so we're looking into it." He explained.

Shit.

--

"It's okay to be nervous Tamaki, I doubt anyone comes into a police office without being nervous, even as officers are nervous." Tsukachi joked, getting a small smile out of the boy.

"You and (y/n) are very close, right?" He asked, to which the younger boy nodded. "So you know what happened on March 27th."

"Y-you mean that fight Nejire and (y/n) got into? That was just a big misunderstanding." Tamaki replied, growing anxious.

"Oh really? The reports by other witnesses don't seem to agree. Apparently, (y/n) started the fight, and shoved her head against a locker, causing her to lose consciousness." He murmured, skimming the file.

"S-she didn't do anything!" The teen exclaimed in frustration.

"Why did she disappear a couple of days after Nejire's death, then?" The detective replied.

"W-what?"

"Just a couple of days ago, (y/n)'s mother filed a missing person's report for her and her sister. Now, I know she's your friend, but if you know where she is, you have to tell me."

(A/N: I've been binge watching Law and Order SVU so you know I had to add this shit in lmfao
