It seemed like another normal gym class (this time without you getting slammed in the face with a volleyball) which you spent once again, with Tamaki and Mirio.

The class had just ended, and you were changing in the locker rooms, while Tamaki and Mirio waited outside. You were the last to leave since you usually liked waiting until everyone else left to change. And right as you finished pulling up your socks, you heard something.

It was muffled cries and whimpers, which caught you off guard since you were pretty certain you were alone. Walking over, you saw Nejire, with her hands on her face. Her shoulders shrugged up and down shakily as she breathed, and you knew she wasn't faking it.

Maybe you should just leave. As much as you'd like to believe she liked you and there were just a few misunderstandings, deep down, you knew she didn't. So you probably wouldn't be able to help her. But you wanted to...

Damning your kindness, you took a seat next to Nejire, who was still sobbing her heart out. "Nejire?"

"Leave me alone!" She spat, brushing the tears off her face.

You sighed. Why did she always have to make things so difficult? All you wanted to do was help her. "I just want to help you, but I know I probably can't, since you don't like me. I just want to comfort-"

"You want to help me? Then stay away from Tamaki and Mirio." She interrupted.

You felt your heart drop into your stomach. "What?"

"Everything used to be fine. We used to be the big three. Not the big three and (y/n). You stole my friends. Tamaki and Mirio are barely even talking to me anymore!" She whined, acting like a spoiled brat who didn't get what they want.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Nejire. I didn't kn-"

"I don't want your pity, (y/n)! I just want things to go back to the way they used to be. When everything was perfect."

A solemn expression appeared on your face as you realized she was exactly right. She had the complete right to be upset since you did steal her friends. Who were you to suddenly join in on and break up the friendship they had for years? It was wrong, and you had to put an end to it. And if that meant you couldn't talk with Mirio and Tamaki anymore, then so be it.

"Okay." Was the last thing you said before leaving the locker room.

"Hey (y/n)! Is everything alright?" Mirio asked, standing with Tamaki. You forgot they had been waiting for you. This was going to be much harder than you thought.

After being so close to them, you knew you were going to have to break off the friendship. For Nejire's sake, and the sake of the big three. It was the right thing to do, even if it would hurt you and them.

"Um, yeah I'm fine. I just have a lot on my mind right now, so I'm just going to head off to class." You replied, brushing the duo off.

Ignoring the two was something you didn't want to do, and it pained you to know that you were going to have to give them much more distance than this.

--

When lunch came around, things got even more difficult. You saw Mirio and Tamaki waving you over to their table like they always did, but you reluctantly turned away and went to sit by yourself.

"D-didn't you see that? She's purposefully ignoring us. There was no excuse for that. Something's up." Tamaki told him.

Mirio frowned softly, watching you. Tamaki was right. You were acting completely normal until the end of gym class. So, what had changed?

"What if her mom called her? And she found out that we...W-what do we do then?" Tamaki stuttered, on the brink of having a nervous breakdown.

Mirio quickly put an end to Tamaki's panic, placing his hands on his shoulders and trying to keep him grounded. "Tamaki. She didn't find out. Whatever this is is, it's different."

"Oh hey, guys! Is this seat taken?" Nejire asked, joining the two at the table.

Then Mirio found his answer. It was Nejire. She wasn't exactly fond of your presence, and he and Tamaki had been barely talking with her when you came along. She had to have something to do with this.

"Nejire, did you say anything to (y/n)?" Mirio questioned. The lilac haired girl shook her head, plastering on an innocent look on her face.

"No. Did something happen?" She was lying, and Mirio knew her well enough to tell. Mirio was growing frustrated while Tamaki was growing desperate and upset. He was going to have to talk to you, whether you like it or not, no matter how much you tried ignoring, he still was going to speak with you.

--

That afternoon, you left school, alone, sighing to yourself. You hadn't walked by yourself in awhile since you were usually accompanied by Mirio and Tamaki. Even though it had been a couple of hours, you missed them.

But you knew you couldn't speak with them anymore. Oh well, the occasional greeting would do just fine, you guessed.

Right as you reached your car, you were stopped by Tamaki and Mirio, the boys sprinting right in front of you and panting. "What are you guys doing?"

"We just want to talk," Mirio said, catching his breath. Fiddling with your keys a bit, you bit your lip, searching for Nejire. All clear. It wouldn't be bad if you had a small conversation with them, right?

"Okay, but we can't talk for long."

"W-what? Why not? And why have you been ignoring us? Do you not like us anymore? Do you not want to be around us? Do you not like me?" Tamaki bombarded you with questions, the sad look on his face breaking your heart.

They deserved to know, so you told them. "What? I love hanging out with you guys! It's just, I feel like I ruined both your relationships with Nejire. When I came along, I messed everything up. I could've destroyed The Big Three, and the school needs you. You're much more important, and I don't want to screw anything up further than I already have."

She loves hanging out with us? She loves hanging out with me?

Tamaki felt a smile cross his face as joy sparked in his heart. Knowing that you loved spending time with him was all he needed to make his day, to make everything else okay.

"(Y/n), you didn't mess anything up. We should've paid more attention to Nejire. It's not up to you who we choose to be friends with, so you shouldn't feel bad." Mirio replied. "Tamaki and I don't want to lose you. So please, don't leave us like that again."

"P-please don't leave us." Tamaki echoed, grabbing your hands.

"I won't, I promise." You smiled.

You were never going to leave them. You promised to stay with them. Forever and ever and ever. They could practically own you at this point.

"But please try talking with Nejire a little more? For me, okay?" You requested, to which Mirio smiled.

"Of course."
