Chapter 62 : Never Have I Ever

Rhyme had invited all the Chicken Girls to have a sleepover, once everyone was in her room said said " I realize I haven't been the best friend", " understatement of the year " Ellie mumbled, Quinn and Astrid looked at her " Sorry, kidding".

"No I mean your right I've missed a bunch of Tuesday teas, but I wanna make it up to you guys" Rhyme apologized, " so what do you have planned?" Quinn asked. " I ordered pizza it's on the way, and there's also cookie dough to bake later" Rhyme answered. Ellie turned to Quinn " no eating raw cookie dough Quinn" Ellie ordered with a smile on her face, " that was one time" Quinn reminded her.

The doorbell rang, " that's the pizza, I'll get it " Astrid said, she went over to the door. Quinn and Ellie set down their bags onto the floor and we all began talking on her bed. When Astrid came back, they all decided to play some card game, I had decided to try to bake the cookies instead, once the Pizza had come, we were all hanging out in the living room, " I'm so happy the pizza finally got here, I'm starving " Astrid said as she took a bite, " are you sure you don't want any Quinn?" Rhyme asked, " yeah, I already ate, I'm okay " she said as she took a sip of water.

"All right, there's more if you change your mind, Next game never have I ever " Rhyme said as she put 5 fingers up, everyone put up 5 fingers and were talking among ourselves about it, " okay, never have I ever been in love with a ketchup packet " Rhyme looked at Ellie and we all laughed " oh Henry " I said as she put one finger down, " um, okay never have I ever dressed up as a like a chicken before" Ellie said as she looked at Rhyme.

We all laughed as Astrid sat up " I'm going to put the cookies in the oven" but just as she was going to stand up Rhyme said " hey wait, do one first", Astrid sighed " okay fine, never have I ever ignored my boyfriend to hang out with my cool older friends" we all put our hands down, " good one, never have I ever tried to steal my cousins boyfriend" Rhyme said, they starred at each other before Astrid got up from her seat and left. Ellie's phone went off and Quinn asked " how does Robbie have time to work when your always texting him?".

"If you must know, I'm texting a classmate about the debate team" Ellie answered, Quinn grabbed her phone and brought it down so that me and her could see "hey!" She called as Quinn looked at the messages, " doesn't seem like you're texting Carlos only about debate" Quinn smirked as Ellie grabbed her phone back. " jeez, don't you have an ex-boyfriend to stalk on social media or something?" Ellie snapped as she stood up and left, " don't you have boyfriends to juggle?" Quinn called to her.

the doorbell rang," saved by the bell" Rhyme said, " whatever" Quinn mumbled as she stood up and left Rhyme stood up and opened it, I went into the kitchen to help Quinn with the cookies.

" I'm gonna go see what they are doing, will you be fine with the cookies?" I asked, Quinn nodded " I got it", I walked into Rhyme's room where I noticed Gemma was there, it was just Ellie, Astrid and Gemma. "Gemma what are you doing here?" I asked, she looked up at me, " just playing never have I ever" she said with a smirk, Ellie and Astrid looked annoyed.

Ellie stood up and left along with Astrid and Gemma following behind, we walked into Rhyme and Quinn in the living room, " so you're gossiping about us now?" Ellie accused, " oh and you finished all the pizza super" Astrid added in, Quinn looked down and she looked guilty. " it's fine, we can grab something on our way to the club" Gemma told Rhyme as she sat in one of the dining room chairs.

"The club?!" Ellie repeated " I thought that you planned a sleepover for us" Ellie barked " couldn't you survive one night without your new friends Rhyme?" Ellie asked, " I'm surprised you noticed since your always on your phone" Rhyme added in.

" stop fighting you guys " Quinn begged, " oh be quite Quinn, why are you always defending her?" Ellie asked, " because you and Astrid are always ganging up on her" Quinn replied, " because she's a bad friend" Ellie said.

The air became more misty and Smokey, " is something burning?" Gemma asked, we all looked panicked now, " the cookies!" Quinn yelled as her, Ellie and Astrid all ran into the kitchen. Rhyme had the door opened, Astrid walked up to her and said that she was going to hang out at Ellie's and that Rooney was going to pick up Quinn, once they left it was just me, Gemma and Rhyme. Gemma rested her arm on Rhyme's shoulder " time for the club?" She asked, Rhyme looked at me, " will you-" but before she could say anything I spoke "Go", she looked at me confused " I won't tell, just Go" I told her, she looks at Gemma and she goes to her room to change, when she left her room, I was in front of her door, " I'm sorry about tonight ". I noticed that Gemma stayed by the door " just stay safe okay?" I say, she pulled me into a hug " thank you" she said, I smiled " what are sisters for", she pulled away and left the house. I cleaned up the house and I opened all the windows to let the smoke get out, I went into my room, I noticed that I had left Cody's guitar out, I couldn't believe that it's been a full year since he died. I pushed those memories away and tried to go to sleep.
