Love this chapter, it's so eventful + it has a song yay!

Your POV

"Stop right there!" An angry, tinny, voice startled us.

The six of us turned around, and as four of us probably guessed, it was the Fairy Godmother.

She continued, focusing on the two new arrivals. I wonder if Ben even informed her that we'll be having two new students? "Who do you think you are, walking around the halls of Auradon Prep, dressed like that?" She was extra persnickety today.

"Fairy Godmother, these are the new students, Maya and Kai, from Motunui." I quickly jumped in - knowing that she would not have addressed them like she did, had she known Moana's child was one of them.

Ben ran up right at this moment. "Fairy Godmother, my apologies. I was planning on letting you know today." As much as this probably annoyed her, Ben was the one who got the final say on these matters, so her annoyance wouldn't affect anything.

"Very well, Ben - I'll talk with you late about this. In the meantime, can someone tell me why Kai here is dressed as he is?"

"It was just a da-" Kai started. No - wrong approach.

I quickly took over. "Surely you can understand, Fairy Godmother, that coming from when they have, this wasn't out of the ordinary? They've barely been in Auradon for a day - I think that deserves your benefit of doubt."

"Understandable, Ms. (y/ln), if they had no friends here - but clearly you're all quite well acquainted, enough that you could at least enlighten them on our uniform policy?"

Good point, I'll give her that. But I have an even better one. "To our knowledge, the handbook only requires the wearing of the Auradon Prep blazer on Mondays. Who were we to decide for him how he wears it?"

She pursed her lips in resigned disapproval. "Well, thankfully it is up to me to decide. If a student's uniform appears to be inappropriate for the school environment, or in other words, distracting, then I can request a change of apparel. Which I am."

"I'll lend him one of my shirts." Harry offered.

"Thank you, Mr. Hook. You won't be marked late for this." Before continuing on to terrorize other students, she smiled at Maya. "Welcome to Auradon, dear."

As Harry and Kai were heading back to their room, Harry quickly turned to me. "See you later!"

"Yeah, see you." I smiled.

"Well, that didn't last too long," Johnny stated, referring to the dare, as the rest of us headed for class.

Maya rolled her eyes. "It lasted long enough." She turned to me. "Is she always in such a mood?"

"The Fairy Godmother? Pretty much, but today her level of nitpicking seemed to be elevated."

The day went on, and I was pleased that Maya and Kai were received well in Auradon - both the AKs and VKs took an immediate liking to their carefree attitude and fun-loving nature.

I walked out to the courtyard after class, and Harry arrived shortly after I got there.

"Do you want to sit down or..?"

"Let's walk out into Fortuna, there's too many people here." I decided.

We began to head into the Fortuna Forest, talking about our days and whatever else came to mind. The forest was just an extension of the courtyard, still technically within Auradon Prep's campus, but it was rarely ventured into by students. Especially since the weather was getting colder, no one saw time in the forest as especially appealing - perfect for a quick secluded talk.
