Your POV
"Is that why he's acting out?" Harry was still leaning on the far wall, arms crossed. "A defence mechanism, to prevent him from realizing the fact that he has magic." All of us - Harry, Coy, and myself agreed that the only plausible candidate for the Auradon boy who would save us was Johnny.
This finally made sense - it put everything together. He was intentionally trapped on the Isle because for some crazy reason, his magic held the cure for the curse.
His parents never lost him and he never ran away. It was all a decoy.
"It has to be, Harry - it's not like whoever cast this spell would want him to simply realize the truth with a smile on his face. They wanted him to push everyone away - to resist." I suddenly felt a relief in knowing that Johnny wasn't really cross with me, because as much as it seemed inconceivable, a small part of me had believed him. "A last-ditch effort to save their horrible designs."
"You must find a way to tell him and break the curse before things get worse. I'll be damned if this thing is recast somehow only for all of our children to be running around trying to break it." Coy was many evil things, at least back in the summer, but when it came to this I was glad he was on our side.
"We'll do our part and figure the Johnny issue, Coy, but we still need magical reinforcements. It's about time you get out of this hiding place and face the real world." He was being a chicken - he wasn't staying in here because he truly could not take the Remedial Goodness classes as he was expected it. He was staying here because the alternative was dealing with all the havoc we were.
"I was never hiding." He huffed, cocky. "It was simply a matter of principle."
"Yeah, right." I chuckled. "I can imagine a lot of things, but I can't imagine principle keeping you from your girlfriend." Harry let a laugh out from the corner, amused.
"You know what, (y/n)? Laugh all you want with your charming Harry, but we both remember what my powers could do to you last summer." He leaned in, teeth gritted and voice firm.
"Well it's too bad you're in here and can't use them." I smiled at him challengingly. If only he knew how much stronger I'd gotten since last summer...
I motioned for Harry to leave along with me, leaving a comment in the air, "God, he thinks those same stupid threats'll work every time." I shook my head without a look back at Coy, hoping all that did the trick.
After we were clear of the room, Harry sighed. "Think that'll work?"
"It will. Coy can't handle not having the last word." And if Coy's on board, Audrey sure is.
"Right, then that's sorted. What do you say we-" Harry stopped abruptly, pulling out his phone, "It's Harriet."
After drifting away for a little to speak with her, he drifted back and updated me as we boarded Carpet.
"The Isle folk are getting restless." He seemed out of breath. "There's too much commotion over there, and too much distrust. Everyone is acting like Johnny." He took the tassels from my hand and redirected Carpet away from Auradon City. "We need to go straight back to Corona."
I didn't say anything and allowed him to take over, but a trip back there was not something I was looking forward to. When Coy said we need to get Johnny ready, etc, I thought I'd at least get the breather of a day in between.
These days have been so jumbled that nothing made sense anymore.

Entering the castle, I could hear Ruby's voice and make out that it was only her, Uma, and Johnny in the room. Seems like Uma's necklace work got sorted quickly. "I never wanted to be Queen - it never felt right. The title was not mine to have, I knew it. I didn't know why, but I knew that something was wrong about it." She nodded her head with a look to her brother. "It's because you were the heir all along. It was never me." I wondered how she could still be going on about this.
