Your POV

With a near-sinister grin, Fairy Godmother looked up after eliminating most of us in one fell swoop. Her grin, however, fell quickly after realizing not everyone had succumbed to it.

"Why are you two...?" Her voice was loud as the commotions below had faded, leaving but three people on the roof, still conscious.

Fairy Godmother, me, and Johnny.

"What did you just do?" My eyes glazed from Harry on the ground to the rest of our friends as Johnny whispered "Uma" under his breath in concern for only her. "Why are the rest of them asleep?" In fact, from the all-surrounding silence, it appeared that all of Auradon City was unconscious.

"That was a curse, (y/n), to put all of Auradon and the Isle to sleep. All except... Auradon-borns who possess magic. Of course I put a special note in to exclude Audrey from this clause because that is a loose end and we can never have those - so why am I standing here, looking at two loose ends? When I should be the only one here remaining?"

My mind darted with plans, unable to decide on the best way forward. Could we reveal ourselves immediately without consequences? Or should we lie? Would the remembrance spell even work with just the two of us?

"Answer me!" She stepped closer to us and it was then I realized that nothing gave me favour in her eyes - not all the years of being good, or Jasmine and Aladdin's daughter, or even everything I did last year to stop Lydia - Fairy Godmother was relentless and she had no care for either me or Johnny. "Was it a protection spell you bought? Or..." As she said it however, she already knew. She knew I had held onto my bracelet despite direct instructions not to.

"Yes, I still have the bracelet. I never gave it back, and I have been learning magic ever since the summer." She was infuriated at the confession.

"And the Isle boy?"

Johnny responded for himself, surprising me with his cool temperament. "I am not an Isle boy, not by blood. But then again, I can bet you didn't know my name even before all the complications associated with it."

She tried to place his face and relation to me, but quickly gave up, waiting for him to fill in the blanks.

"I'm Johnny-Johnathan-um, Prince John of the Kingdom of Corona, and I am the child that years ago, due to your cruel plan, was wrongfully separated from his family, his title, and his land. I was banished to the Isle by "mistake", and - or rather, because, within me lies the only power which can take you down and make things right for Auradon."

"You are insane." Fairy Godmother deflected the facts, pretending like she wasn't fully aware of their verity.

"No, I am a boy who was wronged many years ago, and you know that. And you also must know that your plans are over - you eliminated all your allies and ours, and if the prophecy is true that I can save Auradon, then all you can do is delay it, as you have for (y/a) years. But you cannot prevent it." My heart swelled with Johnny's bravery, and I was filled with relief that he had finally come to accept who he was. No more running.

"If you... if you do that, the two of you, then I promise to never wake all these sleeping people. You two will be responsible for thousands of sleeping souls."

"What good would that do, having only the three of us left awake?" I said it surely but the prospect scared me, because I did not doubt her ability to do that. This Fairy would take any means necessary to keep her storyline intact.

"Well maybe I leave them all asleep, imprison both of you, and spend the rest of my time devising a better spell to undo your damage, no matter how long it takes." When she said this my mind flashed with images of everyone I loved waking up one day in the far future with Johnny and me much older than they remembered, or worse, not even around anymore.
