"I suppose you could give it a shot," The elders in the room all gasped, and began to mutter in disapproval. Moana disregarded this reaction and continued. "If you have a plan. Do you even have a spot in the school? Where will you be sleeping?"

"Um..." Maya glanced over at me.

"We've got that all figured out," I reassured her. "I'm very good friends with King Ben, and I'm sure it will be no problem to get her started, even as early as next week!"

"Can we get him on the phone to confirm this? I apologize for my hesitance, but you understand what a big step this is, for our entire island in fact."

"Of course." I dialled the number. "Give me a second to explain everything to him, and I'll hand the phone over to you."

As I left to speak with Ben, Maya and Kai helped Moana calm down the disgruntled bystanders to this momentous occasion. Harry decided to follow me out, him being there wasn't doing anything to help.

"Hey, Ben. Do you have a minute?" We sat ourselves on a log outside.

"Sure, what's up?"

"So, Harry and I, kind of went out today, and stumbled upon something interesting..." I explained the entirety of events that took place today, with Harry beside me to add in details I forgot.

Ben was apprehensive. As King, it's honestly embarrassing if there's an entire island in your realm that you hadn't discovered - in his defence, he mustn't have the "special Motunuan blood".

"So can they attend Auradon Prep?"

"(Y/N), you know there's no way I'd deny Moana's daughter an education at Auradon Prep, and I'm sure Fairy Godmother would agree. And as for Kai, he has a spot here as well."

"What about the dorm situation?" Ben had told me this year, with all the Isle kids who wanted to attend the school, we were slightly overcapacity.

"That's the only issue, but-"

Harry motioned for me to pass over the phone. "Sorry for interrupting, but Ben, Gil just left for his trip to France. He's taking part in the international study program, remember? Something about being closer to his roots... anyway, there's an empty bed in my room! Kai can take that, right?"

"Yeah, that's perfect. Now just for Maya..."

I took the phone back. "Ben, do you have a spare bed?"

"Sure, beds aren't the issue, it's the rooms. We've already got two students in every girls' dorm."

"What about a third bed in my room? I have the space." I proposed.

"Are you sure? Most royals insisted on keeping their rooms to themselves, and you're fine with having another bed in there?"

"We both know the royals' suites are ridiculously large - I'd love to have Maya stay with us, and I bet Uma will be on board. You should actually consider renovating Auradon Prep to fix our dorm issue."

"I'll consider it." He said half-heartedly. We were both thinking the same thing - none of the other royals would agree. "But as long as you're fine, Maya can stay with you - problem solved."

"Great! I'm just going to pass my phone on to Moana, she wanted to speak with you. Please, don't say anything that will make her change her mind!"

We reentered the cozy room - thankfully, it seemed like Maya, Kai, and Moana had calmed the commotion down, but the Elders still watched us with skepticism.
